    1. I dunno what the issue is, but Mega Man X's model in the game is fantastic. Whoever does the modeling has that style down very well. Iron Man looks fine too.

    2. These are toys dude, cheaper than two amiibo, they look just fine.

  4. That Iron Man figure looks like a slightly modified version of one I have from when the first Iron Man movie was in theaters. Same legs, same torso (the one I have has an ejecting mechanism, not sure if it's here) but different arms.

    1. Yeah, that's straight up a redeco of the Mark III from the Iron Man 2 line. I actually looked up the figure for reference, and it's even got the same deco pattern. I'm actually a little miffed about that (and the fact that this figure scale is 3.75-inch instead of 6-inch) because Iron Man's MVCI design is actually pretty cool and unique, and we've seen this Iron Man like a gajillion times with different paint jobs, but this set has X, and he's who I'm here for, so I'm still gonna get this set.

  5. WTF happened with his colors? it's like the plastic was poorly mixed with the pigment!

Well... for 20 bucks and getting an iron man as a bonus, at least it can be repainted

  8. Face looks a little off. Actually Iron Man kind of does too. Maybe it's just the style they were going for.

Not too bad for 20 bucks though.

    1. Living not far from their HQ, It's a typical basic Hasbro product. Same goes for their Star Wars figs and others. These aren't big time collectable figures. These are basic smaller range department store figures mainly targeted towards kids 1st & formost. Because of that, It's going to get the most basic job possible. Which is actually leagues better to Funko 😏

  13. Will there be a version without translucent plastic?
Freakin' tightwads couldn't even muster a decent sculpt. You get what you pay for, I guess.

  14. I think I might be the only guy in this crowd who doesn't mind the plastic, especially given how it's at the kind of tier of a figure sold at a Target. It's an inexpensive way to convey a metallic appearance, and that's just right for a Hasbro toy. I'll repeat myself from an earlier post how great it is that X is relevant enough to warrant a toy that parents could just get their kid at a department store.

I might be a young adult spoiled by a sudden influx of superb-quality action figures I could never own as a kid, through both denial and nonexistence, but I'm still probably gonna buy this anyway, given how I never got my hands on MVC1's War Machine/Mega Man twin pack from so long ago. Really, the idea that they would just do a complete throwback to it is just pretty darn special.

However, I'm suddenly feeling more tempted to get this as a gift for a friend, as a sort of overkill way to top getting said friend into Mega Man X through means of the first game, as pipe-dreamy as it sounds. Probably a more casual friend who doesn't even know Marvel vs Capcom is even a thing and only knows Marvel from their movies, so when he sees him packaged with IRON MAN it just opens up a whole 'nother world for him.

    ...What? It could happen!

    1. Naw, I'm kinda diggin' the swirly pearlescent blue plastic too, I have a bunch of Hasbro's figures that do that (mostly Marvel Legends) and I always thought it looked cool and dynamic. I mean, it isn't exactly like we're wanting for quality Mega Man X figures as of late (4inch-Nel, 66Action, NXEDGE, Giga Armor X). And given that this is an exclusive 3.75-inch scale mass retail figure produced by Hasbro with a whole new mold that they're NEVER gonna be able to reuse (Hasbro's business model involves a lot of reusing parts from previous figures to make new parts, just look at that Iron Man) unless they surprise us all with a brand-new mass-retail Mega Man toyline, I think this is a pretty darn good deal.

Like, just the idea of a Mega Man X figure I don't have to import or buy online, that I can just, like, go to a store and see with my eyes in person and buy it, is pretty cool on its own.

    1. Um, what the difference between this exclusive & the Japan exclusive X toys? I see nothing.

    2. Japanese toys don't get bought up within seconds and flipped to eBay for 3x the retail price.
