Worlds Unite to Include More Capcom/Sega Characters

Archie Comics' latest Mega Man and Sonic crossover is going to be far bigger than previously imagined...

By way of IGN, here's a big 'ol teaser with a ton a familiar silhouettes:

GoNintendo brightens it up:

Over the next few days IGN will be unveiling the full Capcom/Sega lineup. In the meantime you can check out their interview with editor Paul Paul Kaminski and writer Ian Flynn here.

Spot anyone familiar? I'm pretty confident Nina is on the far right!

  1. I spy Viewtiful Joe from the get go. If this is true, I hope to see Saki Omokane(Quiz Nanairo Dreams), Batsu(Rival Schools), Sakura Kasugano, and Hsien Ko from Capcom and from Sega I hope to see Gemini Sunrise and Sakura Sakura(Sakura Wars), Vyse(Skies of Arcadia), Hatsune Miku, and most importantly Imca, Kurt, and Selvaria Bles from Valkyria Chronicles 3 because I wanted to see more of them since Project X Zone and also I love Imca a lot. Please make it happen Capcom, Sega, and Archie!!!

    1. Miku's a licensed character. She's owned by Crypton Future Media, not Sega. So I don't think you should be expecting her to appear. ^^;

  2. This could mean that there could be more books for the Archie Action line. And possibly, a future crossover with the main Archie universes. Who wants to see Frank West beating up the Archie zombies in Afterlife with Archie or Sabrina fighting Mega Man?

  3. If this crossover lacks Akira of VF, I shall make angry comments on the internet!

  4. Sigh.... Whatever, back to my traditional comics, and appreciating Mega Man through old great games. I freaken hate crossovers now, to think how much I used to be in awe of them back in the day, now they are like a dime a dozen.

    1. It's sad when you have to give MASSIVE respect just for a company obscurely representing BoF in a Sonic/Mega Man crossover comic. That is how desperate BoF is for representation, how sad a fate that is for my favorite RPG series.

Actually it's sad that Mega Man is just a comic series right now anyway.....................

  8. Yes, let's drag down a few more defunct game franchises while we're at it. Eh, Archie?
Digging up nostalgic entertainment icons and desecrating them for the sake of profit... Archie is the Michael Bay of comic books.

    1. Really? Of all comic companies out there. Out of all the crap that has happened in comics. Archie is the Michael Bay of comic books? Heck, Spidey right now is more like the Transformers movie than Mega Man. His book came back a year ago and he's more of a side character in his own book to make way for the NEW and SEXY character that the writer wants us to know is much better than Spidey. She's been locked away in a bunker for 10 years and is somehow much more experience than Spider-Man.

As much as I like Spider-Man and the Marvel universe, I have to strongly disagree with your statement. Especially after Spider-Verse where they brought back a bunch of fan favorite Spider-Men, like the ones from Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends and Spider-Man Unlimited, just to have them brutally killed by the villain of the book. That's just some of the crap going on in the Spider-Man series right now, not to mention the character assassination of Black Cat.

  9. Sonic should cross with Sparkster, both toon animal people, blue, fight hordes of robots and other toon animal people, have red and black themed lookalike rivals, and some dudes trying to take over their world they need to stop. Most importantly though I guess would be they are both themed after speed.

Mega Man should cross with Astro Boy, that is never gonna happen though so people might as well stop wishing that. X would fit right at home in most Gundam series or something like Cyborg 009. In any case meh crossovers.

  11. If Captain Commando was in this, it'll be a COMMAND MISSION.

  12. This is some bull.... Worst than a fanfic in my opinion, at least with fanfics you have the possibility of fleshed out proper interactions and stories (no matter how uncoordinated or out of context) between random clusters of characters that have almost no compatibility with each other, due to freedoms of time and not having to abide by any rules set by the publishers.

I noticed another thing these days in comics, cartoons, games etc, every franchise is always grouped with franchises from the company that made them. Like its never just Mario, its Nintendo, or Mega Man its Capcom or Final Fantasy, Square-etc, nothing is to itself anymore. On top of this every company is crossing over their franchises with other companies' franchises, blah ultimate all-stars, blah blah blah is guest starring in blah blah, blah vs blah blah, blah blah and blah worlds combine, get blah blah from blah's costume for blah in the newest blah blah......and F it Kingdom effing Hearts.

There is no shortage of crossovers, thereby it loses its wow factor, and individual series slowly but surely lose their individuality and identity.

  13. Keep Sonic away from Mega Man geezus, I hate that crappy anthropomorphic nonsense of a franchise. As if that weren't bad enough now you have to drag a bunch of other stuff in there... I'm starting to not stand Sonic's cyclopean face pushed in my face all day.
