Auction: Ruby-Spears Mega Man Halloween Costume

That's right, this auction is for the near-impossible to find Halloween costume based off the Ruby-Spears Mega Man animated series (hey, say what you will about the show, but at least it had a cool opening).

Released sometime during the show's mid nineties run, the costume came in the three usual sizes. We've got the large one here, and it comes with everything one could possible need to look like Ruby-Spear's macho Blue Bomber: cuffs, helmet, boot tops and vest (with pecs, no less). Starting bid is $0.99.

So... yeah, this is for the hardcore collectors only. I mean, it's not like you're actually going to wear it, right? Right?

  2. I'd wear it, if it would fit me (I'm very short). Doesn't look like I'll be able to get it, though...

  4. The RS cartoon was cornball, no question. But I think it's gotten a lot better with age, especially when considering how much the standards of television cartoons has plummeted.

I don't know, maybe I've just reached the age where I don't need all my entertainment to be bad ass or some kind of reinforcement to my nerdish tastes.

But I find a silly cartoon like that to have much more lifeblood in it than the dreadfully dull Mega Man NT Warrior cartoon.

  8. that costume sure brings back memories, I had a megaman costume similar to that in the mid 90s based off the megaman cartoon but mine had a full body suit made of vinyl and it came with a plastic megaman mask that was basically megamans face and front end of his helmet with eye holes and a string that went around the back of your head to hold it in place.

  9. Guh, I wondered why this was getting so many bids on the bay. Seriously, stop finding all the cool R/S stuff and hiking up the prices, Protodude!

But seriously, I'm all for the R/S Mega Man love! ;P
