Mega Man 11 Demo is Live on US eShop, Bounce Man Revealed!

We knew it was coming and here it is – Mega Man 11: Demo Version is now available to download from the US Nintendo Switch eShop! The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One demos will also be available starting tomorrow, September 7th.

But, wait! There's more! We've got word on a new Robot Master – Bounce Man – and a special event from Capcom US. Read on for more info.

First up, Bounce Man:

Via Capcom Unity:

Originally an exercise instructor, Bounce Man’s brightly-colored body and friendly appearance have made him a smash hit with children and adults alike. Despite taking over an indoor wonderland as his own personal playground, Bounce Man still views everything as a playful game, bouncing off the walls with joy the moment Mega Man enters his chamber. Before you reach this rubbery robot, you’ll have to hop to it and navigate your way through the vibrant Boing-Boing Park.

True to its name, Boing-Boing Park is dedicated to safety first. You’ll rarely need to worry about falling into pits thanks to the noble efforts of Tosanizer V, a robot designed to keep people from jumping across gaps. Spikes are nowhere to be seen either, save for small, spiky robots called Gabyoalls patrolling along the ground that are installed for security. All that safety comes at a cost, though; bounding all over the place can make it difficult to get to where you want to go! True to its name, Boing-Boing Park will have you springing off the walls, the floor, and maybe the ceiling on occasion thanks to large parts of the stage being covered in brightly colored rubber balls that keep you on and off your toes at all times.

He may be tough as rubber, but if you can best him, you’ll grab a weapon befitting of this Robot Master: Bounce Ball. Firing three rubber balls in front of Mega Man that can be tilted up or down, each projectile will rebound off the walls and enemies for a bit before bursting in a spray of confetti. You can have several shots on screen at once, and unleash colorful chaos with the Power Gear to fire off an additional three bouncy balls behind you with every use.

More details about this bouncy boy and his stage can be found at Capcom Unity.

Lastly, starting today Capcom are running a little event for fans called "The Bust Block Man Challenge."

"We’re giving all demo players a mission to knock out Block Man by defeating the ego-centric robot in the demo, then display their victory with the #BustBlockMan hashtag on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook! Each successful victory will help chip away at a statue of Block Man (and the ego he’s built up for himself). The more people play and succeed, the more the statue will chip away! If enough people defeat Block Man, everyone who’s played the Mega Man 11 demo will get a small reward of single-use items they can redeem in the full game!

To get your demo download started on Nintendo Switch, navigate to the Nintendo eShop, then search for Mega Man 11. A free demo download will be waiting for you on the game's page! Once the download has started, come back to read up on Bounce Man, the latest Robot Master revealed for Mega Man 11."
That's all for now! Enjoy the demo, folks!

  2. I'm sorry to be that guy, but I am a bit annoyed that PC doesn't get a demo. I'm lucky that my roommates have a console I can borrow. Since its eventually coming to Steam I shouldn't complain about it too much.

  3. You know, Bounce Man is a silly design, but I think it works for what they're trying to go for.

  4. The moment we 1st seen images of Bounce Man I was amped to see him in action! Totally liking what I’ve seen. I’ll always get a Galaxy Man vibe from his head & eyes though.

  7. I took way, way more collision damage than in any other game. I couldn't read the mid boss or Block Man's positioning and distance for @#$! on account of blocks and dust flying in front of Mega Man. It's the PSP's 2.5D all over again and I don't have time for that. Hope Capcom fixes this somehow.

    1. Same. Glad I wasn't the only one. I kept running into Block Man's big form's knee when he was about to punch me.

  8. Demo micro-review :

    Pro :

    -Graphics are colorful and gorgeous
    -The control are great
    -Challenges in stage are cool
-The Scramble Thunder and and the Pile Driver are great to use

    Cons :

-The music....man the music doesn't fit the stage at all. It's like a generic electro track with practically no melody. I really hope the rest of the soundtrack will be better

-The character model : Rockman is really weird...I don't know, he is not enough bad ass, he is too happy and cute and that running animation...meh! ANd look at rush, was he hit by a car ? And man what happen to the Rockman head in the center of the stage select ? Did someone crush him ?

-Voices : Every time Rockman do something, he yell or say something, I hate it.

-Where the hell is the intro stage ?

All in all, I'm very glad that we will be able to play a new Rockman game made by a team who care. I didn't have enough time to use properly the gear system, but from what I've seen so far it's so so...
