Despite being primarily confined to the Game Boy with few official re-releases, the game continues to hold a special significance, inspiring a variety of fan-made games and mods over the years. Now, after 30 years since its release, there's an different kind of project in the works.
Dubbed Mega Man: The Rulers of Space, the fan-game by MarcDWyz is set to be a substantial 16-bit remake of Mega Man V, drawing heavy artistic inspiration from Mega Man 7. You can see it in action in the trailer above.
