Rockman EXE: Phantom of Network and Legend of Network English Fan-Translation Project Announced

SciLab Secrets recently preserved the Japan-exclusive mobile games Rockman EXE: Phantom of Network and Rockman EXE: Legend of Network... and now, The Rockman EXE Zone has confirmed the development of English translation patches for both titles.

The project's lead programmer, Prof. 9, shared that the team will start with Phantom of Network first, followed by Legend of Network. Each game will receive a separate translation patch upon completion, distributed as applications that inject the English scripts into the games. It's important to note that you'll need to obtain the game and an emulator separately.

At present, the release dates for the patches have not been provided. For additional information, screenshots, FAQs, and updates, refer to the translation project thread

Best of luck to everyone involved!

    2. I think of it more like Battle Network 5.5 & 5.75, but that’s a personal preference of mine. As I said before on the The Mega Man Network comment section, I would love for the chance to play these games and see what new bosses are waiting.

  4. Once again fans dropping that sweet elbow of justice on fat old dishonest dishonorable crapcom. Ty fans for being the only real source of MegaMan for pretty much 2 decades. Im naturally excluding MegaMan 11. Blah!

    1. I rather enjoyed Mega Man 11. 10 wasn’t bad, either. I’m also thankful for the ports to modern game systems so newer generations of Blue Bomber fans can be born and carry our torches to share one day with their kids. They’re not perfect, no. There’s a lot that shoulda woulda coulda, and I’m really leaning, and hoping, for the success of Taisen, or whatever it’s going to be called.

    2. Who cares about that random Anon's opinions, you don't have to justify the appeal of Mega Man games like 10 and 11 to people like that. Don't worry about them, Capcom will never listen to them and they will be miserable. Let fan games (that Capcom allows) and knockoffs take care of their needs . Those type of people think Capcom owes them something which is why they talk down to Capcom and insult them whilst also begging them for things.

    3. I agree and yuji ishihara is my favorite artist.

      Indeed.

    5. @anon12:11 I don’t really mean to justify, I just wanted to share. I’ve been around the fan base long enough to know that several aren’t going to be pleased no matter what. But I also like to offer anyone a different perspective and another point of view. I’ve been a long time and loyal fan since Mega Man 2 was being promoted next to Strider in Batman comics lol. But I’m showing my age, I suppose.

Many of us, not just me or any one person, has been through the ups and downs of the series as a whole. We’ve seen games come out every few years that were fantastic, and some…..Not my favorite….But altogether, I think Megaman will be back online soon!

    6. @shrap Lol 😁

    7. Why does Shrap act like that's a dig? I'm selfaware, I was just giving advice to another, who I felt believed they had to counter a stupid perspective that will not be taken seriously or into account by anyone of note and lacked the ability to influence the big picture.

BTW same goes for Shrap, his opinion doesn't matter. He can cry all he wants about MMBN not being part of the MM franchise all he wants for example. No one of note cares, and he is not convincing any intelligent person otherwise. His influence is negligible. Again, for example.

@1.26 8:45 PM: That's more or less what I meant by Justify, you didn't do anything wrong. I was just saying you don't need to feel like you are countering an image as a direct response. If you feel like expressing your love for MM11 and such, do it independent of countering perspectives. Because these perspectives will never prevail or even be influential enough to get real results from Capcom (no Capcom developer or notable person will take anyone's opinion seriously calling them Crapcom). But if you believe I'm wrong, by all means counter the perspective. Honestly tho, have faith in people, many can see through the negative poison and form a balanced opinion, like you do.

Also on a kinda unrelated note, you seem like a good person, this has nothing to do with this thread but just as an aside, there are some that purposefully project inflammatory opinions for attention, it would be wise to discern these people for they feed on the reactions you give them.

Although maybe you are wiser than me in this regard considering your age haha. I wasn't born yet when Mega Man 2 was released, I was born about two years later though, so I am not a total young blood. I'm more of a mid 90s inductee, but I have followed the series ever since (my first game was Mega Man 3 BTW).

    8. I promise I’m going to get a name on here one day….lol! Thank you for your kind comments! I try to be as reasonable as I can be, even though at one time, I was very close to being a proud member of the “Crapcom Cliq”. When Legends 3 got canned, that became a huge cliq, too.

And no worries. I see a lot of posts that seem….Repetitive? So I kinda figured some were possibly trolling, and some truly have leftover pains from the darker days. I hope I can give an unseen point of view clearly and maybe help them see a shimmer of positive light, as dim as it may seem.

lol I’m not always a good person. Trust me, I’ve stacked my fair share of sins up, even on the web. (Do we still call it that?) But I try to make up for all those shortcomings by encouraging others and building on their strengths. It’s a lot easier to tear down than to build. Anybody can do that. I like to be a little different from the norm.

And you! You came into the world at a GREAT time! Power Rangers, X-Men, Batman, all kinds of good Nickelodeon stuff, and of course great video games! And starting with 3? If I’m being honest, I think you started with a GREAT game. It debuted my favorite character! Even though I swore that whistle meant he was some kind of cowboy. Lol

    9. @1.27 7:15 PM: Don't mind 4:20AM anon. He genuinely believes a company like Capcom doesn't care about their image nor that any complaints ever reach them or any "notable person" just because some turn their company name into an insult. From their point of view, having their company name being used as an insult alone would be shocking. It's not like every company has entire departments dedicated to doing popularity research or anything. Note the sarcasm of that last sentence. If the complain reaches any employee then it did it's job.

He also assumed someone completely random and anonymous, was a good person simply because said person was positive of the possible future of the franchise. For someone his age, he certainly is naïve and lacking knowledge he should know. Most anons don't pay to attention to him. If he replies, it will be ignored.

    10. Watch as Capcom surprises us with official localizations of Edgeworth 2 and a compilation of Mega Man mobile games.

If we can get Great Ace Attorney, ANTYHING is on the table frankly. Well, except for English subs and dubs of Stream onward anyway because Capcom doesn't own those, that would be on ShoPro.

  5. When can we expect a Let’s Play of this?

  6. I'm glad this happening, but didn't Capcom shut down a similar project about 2 years ago??

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think the similar one was an attempt to REMAKE the 2 games rather than trying to save the original games so they're preserved and playable. This next project is simply translating them so people can actually understand what's happening in the plot and such.

    2. I think someone may have been charging for it. I’ve heard Protodude say that Capcom doesn’t really care much as long as it’s not a charged product. Like if some of the really fantastic fan games like Innocent Impulse or even Corrupted was to start charging people, we’d see those get the axe.

With that, BRING ON THOSE FAN GAMES!!! Can’t wait to play Innocent Impulse some more and I’ve waited like 15 years for Corrupted!! But man oh man is it looking like worth the wait!!!

    3. And MMZR, don’t forget that.

    4. Ohhhh? I want to say that one sounds familiar. I’ll look it up real quick and check it out! Sounds fun already!

  7. I really like projects like these, it gives the Mega fan community something great instead of waiting for a new official game. It feels like fans care more bout Mega Man instead of Capcom these days, and I'm all for it! We're gonna keep Mega online!

    1. Sometimes I wonder if it’s not so much they don’t care, and that they don’t have the budget or creative control to do exactly what they want. I kinda recall back in the 90s, Sony really fussed hard about Mega Man not needing to be 2D anymore….Which almost cost them Resident Evil!!!! Glad they saw the light! lol maybe that’s what needs to happen. Capcom tells these next gen folks “You want MH? Then you better take MM!”

  11. Is there a story transcript I can read somewhere? I want to make a video, and need the game's dialogue as a reference point.
