Mega Man 8-bit Deathmatch V4 Due This Weekend

This Saturday, May 17th, Cut Stuff's extremely popular Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch will receive a brand new update. The long awaited version 4 patch brings refinements and additional content to the table, including new maps and weapons, seven new skins, gameplay modes, and more. See it in action in the video above.

For all the details and a handy V4 Q&A, check out this thread.

Thanks for the tip, Mike!

  1. Aww man! I've been so out of touch with the forums. Has it really been almost 1.5 years since v3? I used to host games a lot but people started losing interest after v3 was released mainly due to conflicting schedules. I might have to start doing this again...

    1. It doesn't help that people seem to lose interest in the base content after a week, too. That and there's a million versions of the same game mods out there. Usually being hosted at the same time.

Such is the folly of Doom, I'm afraid.

  2. On average I find it takes 18 months just to finish ONE expansion. I predicted V4 would release by Summer '14, and I was right. At this rate we'll get V5 with MM9 by Christmas 2015, V6 with MM10 in Summer 2017, and V7 with MMV in Christmas 2018.

Also, MM8BDM has been plagued with Saxton Hale, since that's all the players of MM8BDM play nowadays.
