Officially Licensed Mega Man X Jersey From Geek Jerseys

Just in time for Mega Man X Timelines #1, Geek Jerseys is releasing a limited run of officially licensed Mega Man X hockey jerseys. Only 150 will be made, each individually numbered. The design is inspired by X himself, featured prominently in a hockey-style “Maverick Hunters” logo. The number 93 on the back commemorates the original release year of Mega Man X, with embroidered Maverick Hunters and Sigma emblems on the shoulders.

As a limited edition item, it doesn’t come cheap—we're looking at $140 USD. But if you've got the Zenny to spare, go wild. More images and details are available at Geek Jerseys.

  1. "$140 USD".

  2. Having both the Sigma insignia and Maverick Hunters doesn't really make sense. They should have made the Sigma one an opposing team with Vile or Sigma on the back.

    1. Damn I didn't notice that. That makes this go from “kinda neat” to “definite licensed junk” for me. And of course, the Mega Man X logo plainly visible on the back. SIGH.

  7. You really really gotta question exactly what is going with the Megaman IP… can anyone just buy a license to use Megaman in anything? Lmk cause I will get to work

    1. That QnA is… something.

“Q: Are there any product categories that are considered incompatible for CAPCOM's character licensing?“

“A: Products related to […] smoking, gambling […] are considered incompatible. However, […] products for limited target users (for example, smoking tools produced as a pachinko slot prize) can be considered […] “

So, smoking and gambling on their own are “no,” but combined are a “maybe?” Ah, the logical gymnastics of legal jargon.

    3. Honestly, selling hygiene products at cons is a decent idea. :p Though less so if they include lead (yeah yeah, I know it’s supposed to be lead with a hard “E”).

    5. Wait a second. Would be still possible to license a game or is that out of the question nowadays?

    6. Not impossible, but it's not really in Capcom's MO to license out an IP to a different studio these days. Most of their IPs are handled in house or outsourced to carry some of the workload.

  9. I'd complain about the price, but if it were EXE instead of X I'd be on my hands and knees begging for it like a hypocrite
But also the design just doesn't do it for me I feel like there should be more to it for that much
