Udon's Mega Man X Comics Will Now Release Digitally Same Day as Print

Earlier this year, Neon Ichiban partnered with Udon Entertainment to distribute Mega Man comics digitally, with new issues originally planned to arrive one month after their print release. Starting this week, though, that rollout strategy is changing for the better.

Neon Ichiban has confirmed that, beginning with Mega Man X #3, Udon's Mega Man X comics will now launch on the platform on the same day as their print release. According to Neon Ichiban, the update came after some successful "sweet talk" with Udon. As of today, both Mega Man X #3 and Mega Man X #2 are available on the platform.

Whether this new arrangement will carry over to future Mega Man comics remains to be seen, but for now, it's definitely a win.

Another Look at Kotobukiya Decoction Fourth Armor X

Back in February, Kotobukiya finally pulled back the curtain on the mysterious silhouette that had been teasing fans for the past couple of years. In a reveal few saw coming, the company unveiled a brand-new, large-scale Fourth Armor X kit for its premium Decoction line.

Now, to coincide with the Shizuoka Hobby Show, Kotobukiya has shared two crisp high-resolution images of the prototype mold, giving us a better look at the kit. That said, finer details like pricing and a release window are still being kept under wraps.

More details as they become available!

Capcom and Sega's UFO catcher prize partnership continues with the reveal of a new MegaMan.EXE figure from Sega's Luminasta line.

It's expected to debut as a redemption prize at amusement centers and arcades across Japan beginning in October 2026, with a wider release likely to follow through online retailers such as Big Bad Toy Store in the near future.

Officially-Licensed Mega Man Gaming Watch Announced

Need more Mega Man 2 in your life? Look no further, friend. Capcom has teamed up with My Play Watch to release an official digital gaming watch that includes a "reimagined" version of Mega Man 2 adapted for one-hand play.

The watch includes a few different ways to play. Classic Mode lets you pick from multiple Robot Master stages, take down bosses, etc. Arcade Mode strings stages together with increasing speed and difficulty, with a scoring system as the main hook. There’s also Play Time Mode, which is less “game” and more animated Mega Man watch faces, complete with pixel art and themed displays.

Beyond Mega Man 2, it does the usual digital watch things too: time keeping, step tracking, heart rate monitoring, and calories. There’s no Bluetooth, no Wi-Fi, no notifications, and no apps so if you're looking to replace your smartwatch with this, maybe don't.

The watch is currently available to pre-order exclusively from GameStop for $79.99. It's expected to ship on June 16th.

X-Plus Gigantic Series Roll Reissue Announced

Earlier this month, X-Plus announced plans to reissue its Gigantic Series Rockman figure. Now, Roll is joining him, with a reissue of the 11.8 inch figure planned for release in August.

Reservations are coming soon, with an expected 16,500 yen price tag (or roughly $103 USD). The figure appears to be the same as its original 2016 release, though like the Rockman reissue, this version of Roll seems to include a chibi accessory.

We'll keep an eye out for pre-orders!

Rare Rockman X3 Book Scanned, Artwork Preserved

In 1996, Capcom and Nagaoka Shoten published a Rockman X3 pop-up book exclusively in Japan, adapting the game into a hands-on craft book where young readers could assemble scenes from the game.

While a neat collectible in its own right, the book has long been sought after by fans because it contains original cel-painted artwork not seen in any other X3 media. It also hasn’t been reprinted anywhere else.

Now, for the first time, the book’s contents have been preserved thanks to Epsilon1234. All 48 pages, along with the accompanying artwork, can be viewed on the Internet Archive across two uploads: scans of the 21 artwork pages and photographs of the full book, including the non-art pages.

And if you have a high-quality printer, you could even try printing the individual pages and assembling the dioramas yourself. If not, there’s still plenty of great pieces here to enjoy.

Official Mega Man: Dual Override Hoodie References 'Override System'

The drip-feed of miscellaneous Mega Man: Dual Override merchandise continues with the reveal of an official pullover hoodie exclusive to e-Capcom. Styled after Mega Man’s updated look in the game, the hoodie also includes a couple of details worth pointing out.

Most obvious is the “12” front and center, another not-so-subtle nod to Dual Override being the 12th mainline entry in the classic series. More intriguing, though, is the mention of an “Override System” printed across the drawstrings. It does not shed any new light on what “Dual Override” specifically refers to, but it is the clearest sign yet that the term is tied to something substantial within the game itself, and possibly to Mega Man’s abilities.

What exactly the Override System is remains anyone’s guess for now, but if you ask me, it has all the makings of the game’s central mechanic, much like Mega Man 11’s Double Gear System.

More updates in time...

There's a Small Mega Man Easter Egg in Pragmata

No, Pragmata isn't a Mega Man game. That much is obvious. But that hasn't stopped Capcom from having a little fun with the fan theory that's become something of a meme, whether through cross-promotional tweets or that pretty great April Fool's joke.

And apparently, that playfulness doesn't end there. Now that Pragmata is finally in players' hands, some have started spotting a small Blue Bomber reference tucked away in the game...

The History of Mega Man Star Force 2's Kung-Foo Kid

We know the names attached to many of Mega Man's contest-winning bosses, but the stories behind those designs are much harder to come by. Unless the winner later becomes someone especially notable, like Yusuke Murata, that part of the character's history usually goes untold.

Kentaro Fujii, the creator of Goat Kung-Fu, known in English as Kung Foo-Kid, from Mega Man Star Force 2, is not a name most fans would immediately recognize. But in a recent blog post, he offers a rare look at the story behind his winning design.

Mega Man 2 LCD Game Gets an Enhanced Fan-Remake

One of the most obscure versions of Mega Man 2 has been given new life thanks to indie developer Zeichi Games. An enhanced remake of Tiger Electronics’ Mega Man 2 handheld LCD game is now available, featuring revamped gameplay and a number of improvements. It plays less like a weird late-'80s novelty toy and more like a bite-sized game, while still paying homage to the original’s oddball charm.

The remake comes as a .gb file, making it playable through emulation on Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and even Super Game Boy. Batteries not required.

You can grab it for free from Zeichi Games' Itch.io page here!

X-Plus Gigantic Series Rockman Reissue Announced

In 2015, X-Plus released what was, at the time, the largest commercially available Rockman figure as part of its Gigantic Series. Standing 14 inches tall, the figure has been out of print for years, but later this summer, it’s getting another shot.

E-Capcom has announced a reissue of the figure, scheduled to ship in late July for 16,500 yen (about $103 USD). This is the same release as the original 2015 version, complete with the alternate helmetless head part. The price is also notably lower than what it typically goes for on the secondhand market. As an added bonus, E-Capcom is including a rubber keychain featuring a cute chibi-style Rockman.

Right now, the reissue appears to be exclusive to E-Capcom, though that could change. If it doesn’t, international buyers will need to order through ZenMarket, which serves as E-Capcom’s preferred proxy service. UPDATE: Pre-orders up on Big Bad Toystore.

Mega Man X #4 "Ladies of X" Cover Variant Revealed

Mega Man X #4 is now available to pre-order, and as usual, the Udon Store has an exclusive cover variant by Atomic Marshmallow. This one puts Navigators Minerva and Luna front and center.

Like the previous Atomic Marshmallow covers, it also connects to the others to form a larger collage featuring the ladies of Mega Man X. And with only one issue left in the current story arc, it raises a fair question: just whose hand is that on the edge of the cover?

Mega Man X #4 is scheduled to arrive in stores on May 27th. You can also check out the previously revealed covers A through D here!

Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection Debuts at #2 in Physical Sales in Japan (Update)

During its first week on sale in Japan, Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection debuted at No. 2, selling 18,238 units on Nintendo Switch, according to Famitsu. Among new releases, it was the week’s top-performing title, finishing behind only the juggernaut that is Pokemon Pokopia.

The PlayStation 5 version did not appear in the top 10, but demand for the collection appears to be strong on both platforms. Capcom confirmed last night that most, if not all, physical copies across Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 have sold out throughout Japan, with new stock expected by late April. (UPDATE: Famitsu has expanded their chart to include PlayStation 5 shipments - 2,189 units. Combined sales is 20,427 units)

Although Star Force Legacy Collection opened below Battle Network Legacy Collection’s Japanese debut of 60,246 physical units across Switch and PS4 in 2023, that gap may say as much about supply as demand. With Capcom now moving to restock Star Force Legacy Collection, it seems likely the company underestimated interest and shipped too few physical copies to meet it.

As for digital sales, and how the collection may be performing outside Japan, there's no clear picture yet. If the game reaches a major sales milestone, as Battle Network Legacy Collection did when it surpassed one million copies sold through in its first two weeks, Capcom will likely share the news through a press release or on social media. We'll be keeping tabs.

Capcom Reveals Full Mega Man: Dual Override Key Art

Rockman Unity’s Ucchy-san shared a look at the special Dual Override keychain on Twitter earlier today. The item can be scanned with an NFC-compatible device to access AR content, but Ucchy-san's photos also happened to reveal something equally noteworthy: a full, uncropped view of Mega Man’s key art, offering the clearest look so far at his new design.

The piece appears to be drawn by Yuji Ishihara, best known as the primary art designer for Mega Man 11. His new take on Mega Man seems to expand on that earlier work with extra panel lines and mechanical detail, particularly across the torso, legs, and feet. The Mega Buster also looks much larger than usual (compare it with Mega Man 11's here). Whether that change is purely stylistic or hints at something specific in Dual Override is still unclear.

The NFC Dual Override keychain is expected to ship on October 15, 2026.

Kotobukiya Mega Man 11 Oshi Works Figures Revealed

Kotobukiya has revealed a new Mega Man 11 figure line under its Oshi Works label, with Mega Man, Roll, Dr. Light, and Dr. Wily planned as part of a coordinated set running through early 2027.

The Oshi Works line is geared toward display rather than play, with each figure standing between 7.1 and 8.66 inches tall with no articulation. The focus here seems to be on presentation, with detailed paintwork and clear parts used to better highlight each character. Another nice touch is the use of magnets, letting you secure and reposition the figures to better suit your display.

Pre-orders are available here:

Mega Man kicks off the line in November 2026, followed by Roll in December 2026. Dr. Light and Dr. Wily are both slated for January 2027.

Mega Man Producer Shingo Izumi Wants to Alternate Between New Games and Collections

Following Kazuhiro Tsuchiya’s departure in 2022, Shingo Izumi has taken on a larger role in guiding Mega Man's future as the franchise's new lead producer. With Star Force Legacy Collection out the door and Dual Override still in development, the immediate roadmap is clear.

But in a new interview with 80 Level, Izumi also spoke a bit about how Capcom is thinking about the series as it approaches its 40th anniversary.

With Mega Man approaching its 40th anniversary, how do you see the franchise evolving? What role do projects like Legacy Collections play in shaping its future alongside new titles?

Shingo Izumi: We intend to continue expanding the fan base while carefully preserving the appeal and value of the brand and pursuing new challenges. Our immediate focus is to ensure the success of Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection and Mega Man: Dual Override, and to build a strong foundation that connects to the future.

At the same time, we believe that collection titles play a significant role in revitalizing a brand, while also serving an important purpose in preserving and passing down game culture as part of its historical legacy. Ideally, we would like to release new titles and collection titles consistently, alternating between the two over time.

Izumi's interest in alternating between new titles and collections may offer the clearest hint yet at what Capcom wants Mega Man's release cadence to look like going forward. If they can follow through, that kind of consistency would go a long way toward supporting its goal of growing the series into a core IP. While the current “evergreen” approach has helped sustain the franchise in recent years, the demand for new games sooner rather than later is clear.

For more from Izumi and comments from Koji Oda, including some behind-the-scenes discussion about Star Force Legacy Collection, you can read the full interview at 80 Level.

First Mega Man: Dual Override Goods Coming in October

Capcom quietly dropped pre-orders for three new pieces of Dual Override merchandise on E-Capcom this morning, all based on the game’s key art. Interestingly, some of the items feature a less-cropped version of the illustration, giving us a clearer look at Mega Man’s Mega Buster and lower body.

The lineup includes a muffler towel, an NFC-enabled keychain that unlocks AR content when scanned with a phone, letting fans take photos with Mega Man and listen to a looping piece of music from Dual Override, and a simple tote bag that looks well-suited for travel.

All three items are currently slated to ship on October 15 and, for now, appear to be exclusive to Japan.

Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection Sonia and Luna DLC Pack Arrives Tomorrow

For one reason or another, Capcom does not seem eager for fans to know that Luna Platz and Sonia Strumm can be selected as main menu navigators in Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection. Earlier this month, they asked us to remove footage of the two in action and also requested that certain Japanese news sites strip out references to them.

Now, with the game launching very soon, it looks like Capcom is finally preparing to make it official. A DLC pack for Luna and Sonia has appeared on the Japanese Nintendo Switch eShop, where its listed for release on March 27th at 300 yen. The pack is not currently visible on English storefronts, but chances are good it will show up sometime tomorrow.

As previously reported, Luna and Sonia feature commentary on the main menu performed by their original English and Japanese voice actors. Players can swap between them at any time with the press of a button. Other previously confirmed menu navigators include Geo in his everyday clothes and Omega-Xis.

Mega Man Festival Begins in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

In case you missed it, the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Mega Man DLC Pack is now available, bringing both Mega Man and Proto Man to the track. To celebrate, CrossWorlds is hosting a limited-time "Mega Man Festival" this weekend, running from March 26 at 8:00 PM ET through March 29 at 7:59 PM ET.

By taking part in the event, players can earn Festival Points and redeem them for a batch of Mega Man-themed goodies, including the Blue Flash title card, decals, a themed horn effect, and the new Item Buster Kit Gadget (pictured above).

These rewards could potentially be offered again down the line, but for now, this weekend’s event is the only way to grab them.

The previously announced Mega Man Star Force and Mega Man Zero Blokees made another appearance at the 2026 BLOKEES Global Partners Conference. While no new information was shared on either figure, Blokees also casually confirmed that Mega Man X Blokees are in production, with the series logo and a simple “coming soon” displayed at the event.

No other details were revealed, so here’s hoping we won’t have to wait too long to hear more.

Dr. Wily is Getting His Own One-Shot From Udon This Summer

Dr. Wily will headline his own standalone story, written by Tavis Maiden with artwork by Ryan Jampole, Udon Entertainment has confirmed.

Here's the official solicitation:

Dr. Albert Wily, the (self-proclaimed) world's greatest scientist stars in his own 1-shot adventure! Dr. Wily's ultimate scheme is about to be revealed, with only one thing standing in his way... the annoyingly "heroic" robot known as Mega Man!

Cover A comes from Ryan Jampole, with Cover B by Jeffrey “Chamba” Cruz and Cover C by Tavis Maiden. Rounding things out, Cover D—Udon’s first-ever Mega Man “swimsuit” cover—is illustrated by Andrew Dickman.

If that doesn’t get your gears turning, this might: Udon tells me this one-shot serves as a prelude to a new, currently unannounced classic Mega Man mini-series set after Mega Man Timelines #1. More details on that front in the near future.

Dr. Wily #1 s currently scheduled to hit stores on June 17, 2026.

CoroCoro Comic Teases New Mega Man Star Force One-Shot Manga

Good news for fans of Mega Man Star Force and manga author Ryo Takamisaki: a brand-new one-sho is set to debut March 19th on Weekly CoroCoro’s website according to a Star Force Legacy Collection preview in the latest issue of CoroCoro Comic.

While best known for his Battle Network manga, Takamisaki previously dipped into the Star Force series in 2008 with a short two-chapter adaptation of Mega Man Star Force 3. The scope of this new one-shot, as well as its story, has not yet been revealed. It's also unclear whether an official English translation will be released, something Capcom USA previously provided for Takamisaki’s Battle Network Legacy Collection reunion one-shot.

CoroCoro also notes that a new commemorative illustration by Masaya Itagaki will be posted to Weekly CoroCoro’s site on March 23rd. The small image next to the QR code in the article appears to be a teaser of that illustration.

Ben Diskin Not Returning to Voice Mega Man in Dual Override

Following SAG-AFTRA’s “Do Not Work” order for Mega Man: Dual Override, Ben Diskin, the English voice actor for Mega Man, has announced that he will no longer voice the character and will not be returning for Dual Override.

SAG-AFTRA Issues "Do Not Work" Order for Mega Man: Dual Override (Updated)

The Screen Actors Guild American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) has issued a “Do Not Work” order for Mega Man: Dual Override, instructing union members to withhold any voice acting performance work until further notice. The notice, published March 9th, says the producer “failed to initiate the signatory process.”

In simple terms, SAG-AFTRA says the production has not properly started the process required to become a union-signatory project. According to SAG-AFTRA, producers must begin that process through its signatory system, and Global Rule One requires members to work only under union contracts.

The notice does not indicate how much voice work had already been completed (although we did hear a tiny bit in the Video Game Awards reveal trailer back in December). But what it does show is that there is currently a contract issue tied to the project’s union status. If that issue is resolved, the order could be lifted.

At this time, there is nothing to suggest the notice will impact Dual Override's overall development, as it appears to primarily concern the English voice performance side of production. The game remains in development and is still scheduled for release in 2027.

UPDATE: Ben Diskin, Mega Man's voice actor, has exited the game over union-related concerns.

We’ll keep an eye on the situation and share any updates from SAG-AFTRA or Capcom.

Capcom has quietly confirmed a Rockman collaboration with hololive in Japan. The teaser appeared on Capcom’s official amusement campaign site over the weekend, with Rockman announced as the first entry in the company’s 2026 hololive collaboration lineup.

At the moment, Capcom has not announced which hololive talents are involved or what the collaboration will actually include. Based on where the teaser was posted, this looks to be tied to Capcom’s amusement and retail side in Japan, so goods, prize items, or store campaign material seem most likely.

For those unfamiliar, hololive is a major VTuber agency operated by Cover Corporation. Its roster is made up of virtual streamers and performers who appear in livestreams, concerts, merchandise campaigns, and crossover promotions with other brands.

We’ll keep an eye out for the full reveal and update you when more information is announced.

Mega Man: Dual Override Robot Master Silhouettes Revealed

During today’s Capcom Spotlight, Mega Man series producer Shingo Izumi and Dual Override producer Hiroyuki Minamitani not only revealed the six finalists in the Robot Master Design Contest, but also showed the silhouettes of seven Robot Masters that the winning entry will appear alongside.

We love a good silhouette around here. They’re perfect fuel for speculation. There's a little guy on the far left, a two-headed bot, and... is that a witch and broom in the middle? A lot going on here!

Izumi and Minamitani also noted that more updates on Dual Override will be shared in the near future, so we may not have to wait long to learn their identities.

Mega Man Nominated for World Video Game Hall of Fame

Well, this is a pleasant surprise. Mega Man has been named one of the 2026 nominees for induction into the World Video Game Hall of Fame at The Strong’s National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York.

The franchise was nominated for its influence on both popular culture and the video game industry. Mega Man is facing some stiff competition, though. Other nominees include Dragon Quest, Angry Birds, Frogger, FIFA International Soccer, Galaga, League of Legends, PaRappa the Rapper, RuneScape, Silent Hill, Skyrim, and Tokimeki Memorial. Each nominee is evaluated based on four criteria: icon status, longevity, geographical reach, and influence.

If you’d like to support Mega Man, you can cast your vote here. Voting is open now through March 12. The final inductees will be revealed during an on-site ceremony at The Strong National Museum of Play on Thursday, May 7.

Shingo Izumi: No Current Plans for a Mega Man Legends Collection, But It's Possible

Image: ようがす

In an interview with RPG Site, Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection producer Shingo Izumi was asked about the possibility of a Mega Man Legends collection, now that every other Mega Man series has been re-released on modern platforms.

RPG Site: I have to ask this. You will have now released Mega Man Legacy Collections of the Classic, X, Zero, ZX, Battle Network, and Star Force series. Only the Mega Man Legends series remains. Are you also planning to release a Mega Man Legends Legacy Collection?

Shingo Izumi: At this time, there are no plans to do so. However, as mentioned in a prior response, when we consider new collection projects in the future, a Mega Man Legends collection would also be one of the possible candidates.

While this may be a little frustrating to hear, plans can change. The demand for a hypothetical Legends Legacy Collection is certainly there. Leaving it behind feels like a missed opportunity.

For now, Izumi and his team are focused on Dual Override, so we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds.
