After the revelation of DiVE Armor Sigma and the cancelled Rockman Xover collaboration, we have more comprehensive view of the unused and cut content featured in the recently-released Rockman X DiVE artbook. With an extensive collection of unseen bosses and character poses, this artbook holds a wealth of discoveries waiting to be unveiled.

Let's revisit DiVE Armor Sigma and the characters from the Rockman Xover collaboration that didn't make it before the game was taken offline. This time, we have higher-quality images to share with you.
Next, there's a collection of bosses to explore. We've got Incentas, who was previously leaked (unintentionally) by NebulaJoy in one of their ads, as well as Eregion and Violen, who managed show up in the credits sequence of Mega Man X DiVE Offline. Additionally, there's Mosquitus a mid-boss from Mega Man X3, Eyezard a mid-boss from Mega Man X4, and a glimpse at the backside of Kaiser Sigma.
Here are alternative poses for DiVE Armor X, Zero, Axl, Iris, RiCO, and DiVE Cross MegaMan.
Next up, we have alternative designs for "Iris -another-" and Droitclair that significantly differ from their final designs.
Below, here's a 2-page spread of "ViA■" showcasing different poses, alternate designs with different color schemes (including one with a notably more menacing appearance than his final design), and a final design described as "Sigma+ViA".
And finally, we have a huge amount of alternate poses for several individual characters.

ReplyDeleteViA with a second final boss form that is a concentrated mass of the Sigma Virus, and that apparently would be bestial a la Ganon and _ instead of only a head that summons enemies? That would be badass. But how would that fit with the current ending? I assume that during their "serious yet fun deathmatch" in the end, the Sigma Virus would take control over ViA's body, taking the "yet fun" away, with ViA reverting back before perishing?

ReplyDeleteThat alternate Droitclair design is cool,makes me think of a mix of some robot master (like Fuse-Man) and some Battle Nertwork/Star Force character.
ReplyDeleteThe alternate iris-A is not a bad design per se, but looks nothing like either Iris or Colonel.

ReplyDeleteSF characters shouldn't have been included as themselves in the game, like how DMC were represented as skinsfor the MMX characters. Maybe had FAX be Ryu as he has several moves in MMX, or RiCO in Chunli garb, and Sigma as Sagat.

ReplyDeleteIf you want to somewhat read it, scan it with Google Lens and translate it with either Google, Deepl or other websites or get someone that knows the language preferable an actual Japanese native. Looking up individual words or terms using Japanese dictionaries either online or physical will help you make sense of it. Lens isn't perfect at scanning either so look up the Kanji using the number of strokes or radical or other methods to match each Kanji, Hiragana and/or Katakana character.
DeleteI think they should've used the body design for that early Iris ~Another~ but use the head from the final design specifically her hair color/style, because it would be odd to make Iris blonde when she is usually a Brunette.
