With Mega Man X #0 now out, Udon Entertainment has announced that pre-orders for Mega Man X #2 go live tomorrow, January 22nd, at 9am PDT. You’ll be able to reserve a copy through your local comic shop, or online via the Udon Store.
And speaking of the Udon Store, they’re prepping another AtomicMarshmallow variant cover, this time spotlighting Mega Man X Command Mission’s Cinnamon and Marino. Like the previous release, the cover connects with AtomicMarshmallow’s last variant to form a larger collage. Take a closer look at the right side for a tease of who’s featured next time.

ReplyDeleteEh, they’re probably not getting to Command Mission anyway, especially with its dubious status in canon.
I see no reason why Command Mission couldn't be Canon. The only thing preventing it, as far as I know, is one sentence in a strategy guide. Which can be ignored anyway.

You’re giving them too much credit to think they’d be liberal enough to *not* treat that one sentence as gospel. :p
DeleteBut yeah, the biggest issue with Command Mission’s place in the timeline is Axl’s fate, which isn’t even Command Mission’s problem, it’s X8’s. Who knows, maybe in the main timeline Axl actually dies from the Lumine encounter which leads to everything else, and Model A really is just Albert, somehow.
Capcom didn't write the strategy guide... So who cares?
DeleteI always assume CM takes place before X8. It wouldn't make sense any other way.
I was just replaying X5, and I am starting to think the whole thing is a giant simulation anyway... The last stage takes place inside of a circuit board... I'm starting to really wonder if anything past the original series is even "real".

DeleteCommand Mission was actually my first MMX game as a kid... wish Capcom would go back to that timeline so we can see these characters again outside of cameos/one-off art. It's a pipe dream, I know.

I'd rather they just release a $20 poster... Then I might consider one.

DeleteI think it's going to be Ferham next as you can see the pink wings, prob paired with Nana to finish the Command Mission crew.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the previous cover with Layer & Pallette, I saw and recognized the hand on the lower right as Cinnamon's and assumed correctly that she was paired with Marino. Those lines are definitely Ferham's wings, so it most likely be Nana with her on the next cover. As for Berkana, well... [let's see: 1st pair was Iris (x4) & Alia (X5), 2nd pair was Pallette & Layer (X8), this 3rd pair is Cinnamon & Marino (CM) with the 4th's pair likely Ferham & Nana (CM)]...
DeleteEdit: !-I got it: if there's a 5th pair, then perhaps they could pair Berkana from Xtreme 2 with either one of the Navigators from Maverick Hunter X, though the pink-haired one would be the most likely. I'm NOT saying it'll happen, just throwing out some ideas for anyone listening.
I'd be glad if Koto tackled CM on their kits line or some figures from 3zero and Hiya. At least CM X for a start...

DeleteI was thinking Base CM X because he's different from all other versions and has a higher chance of being made, but X Fire or CM Ultimate would also be cool. It would just be a little weird getting X Fire before Shadow and Gaea lol
DeleteI personally feel it gets silly to have a base MMX for each style in each game. Not that anyone's holding a gun to my head and saying I need to buy it, though.

ReplyDeleteYikes. Those proportions are horrible. Cinnamon has noodle arms and human-like knees instead of the metal joints that connect to the rest of her legs. Also, those hands are tiny. Artists at Udon once again proving they've never seen an actual woman before. Smh
