It’s been nearly two years since Kotobukiya last did a Rockman stream. The previous one brought a ton of new model kit announcements, plus a mystery kit we still haven’t learned anything about. But now they’re back: Rockman Plastic Model Talk Live returns on February 14 to reveal what’s next.

The stream, which is planned run for about an hour, will broadcast on February 14th at 14:00 (JST). Kotobukiya’s Rockman model kit planner, Bachi (Shohei Chiba), will speak during the stream about the model kits currently available for pre-order, as well as reveal new model kits that will be revealed during the Kotobukiya Collection event from February 13th - to 15.
While Kotobukiya is mum on what will be shown, based on the thumbnail for the stream,we can deduce that they will present the Sigma model kit in its fully painted form and provide information regarding pre-orders. And Since the stream uses the franchise’s main logo rather than the Rockman X logo, it is expected that model kits from other series will also be shown.

Its about time that the Sigma kit dropped, but I won't lie, I'm more excited about the other possibilities.

Bonus Velguarder is the first thing that came to my mind when Koto announced the Sigma kit.

ReplyDeleteThe only thing that bothers me is being able to see the brow ridges that clearly. They're not as prominent on the statue, but if it means getting a poseable Sigma, I'll allow it.

DeleteMy bigger concern is the face design/direction. It’s clearly going more for the MHX angry/psycho look, but actual X1 Sigma is more smug and cocky. Hope there’s a good variety.

DeleteTaking some wild guesses: it is due time they announce a new X armor (either Gaea or Shadow). Based on previous poll, I would guess Vile would be a strong contender as well. Possibly MegaMan Star Force as well in celebration of the upcoming collection?
ReplyDeleteI would love to see Aile, who was one of the finalists on the original poll (as far as I know, we never had any ZX figure official representation?), however, chances would be slim, I guess. Personal favorite one, for me, would be Gate, but also highly unlike at the moment. We'll see.
I’d love to see Gaea, that’s one of my favorites. That said, I think we’re getting Glide or one of the X8 Armors first.

It's a safe bet we will get Mega Man 12 Rock and I'll guess they will announce Blues.EXE.
I think Gaea and Shadow are more popular, but I'd also like Glide and Neutral. I don't remember any official figures from X7 and X8 armors.

"But koto did the same blah blah" yeah no they produced alternative Xs and have provided more in function and besides buyers freedom and quality. Anyone who can hobbie outside of the "purchase button" won't see quality behind a figure assembled automatically. Alas Capcom is the same as the average buyer.. minimum or nothing haha! 😂 Spit hate and undertone if you know I'm right about them or you i will ss. 🤣
