Mega Man Zero Series Will Join Teppen in 2024

Teppen is ready to start the year 2024 off with a bang. Following the addition of the Battle Network series in July, the first card pack slated to hit Teppen next year will be centered around Mega Man Zero.

The card pack is set to launch at the beginning of January, but players will have the chance to get an exclusive sneak peek on December 22nd at 19:00 (JST) during the final Teppen Headline program of the year.

Not much elseis known at the moment, except for the artwork above, which can be viewed in its entirety on the developer's Twitter account.

Teppen has always been a great source for Mega Man artwork, and if Dr. Weil is any indication of what's to come, we're in for a treat!

    3. I think some of you guys have your expectations set way too high, it's kinda obvious at this point we are not getting a new Mega Man game. I know I've given up on that. And heck if they don't feel like making a new game, how about finishing porting over the rest of the older games to modern consoles in collection form? There's a ton of Mega Man games not in any collections currently.

    4. Truth, I want to get into Legends but I'm just waiting for a modern collection with quality of life features

    5. I'm more amazed that it took you guys THIS long to realized that lol

    6. Hmm… still crying like the time you cried about Zero’s fate in Mega man Zero 4.

    7. Long time Mega Man fans know that Capcom has been like this since the mid 2000s when it comes to games, it’s a glorified toy and merchandise line only now.

    1. The one thing I have to say about Sonic despite some of the mediocre games released in the last 10+ years at least he is still getting games. Being a Mega Man fan is depressing.

  6. Maybe i should'nt be pessimistc, they might release a new game some day.

    1. You have every right to feel the way you do, the only thing keeping the series somewhat relevant are fans and merchandise, not so much Capcom themselves. Besides they have been pulling this crap for well over 10 years now, started in the early 2000s with them cancelling games. Anyone remember the gameboy Mega Man collection they announced for gba and kept delaying until cancelling it? Or how in the 90s they actually advertised Mega Man Battle and Chase in us game magazines yet cancelled the us release? Them neglecting the series is nothing new.

    2. I am concerned too. Of course even if they do release a game, it might be more gacha nonsense or small time stuff, assuming it isn't canned. In the case of a new game based on their history at this point, I would say it would require extraordinary evidence. Even a pic along would not suffice at this point. They love to waste money by canning games for a while now. That is like a total loss after a product had labor put into it (losing money). Not smart to be cancel happy + they risk losing customers unhappy about the canning.

    3. Gary, I think the problem is Capcom has way too high of sales expectations for their games and won't take a chance with anything that won't sell millions even with large fan bases. Like they think all of their games should hit GTA V numbers which is just dillusional on their part.

Kinda sick of them announcing new Resident Evil and Monster Hunter games all the time but nothing for Mega Man. You know what else I'd like besides Mega Man? I'd also like a new Final Fight game.

      Delete
    4. Final fight was fun. I played that on the SNES in the 90s.

  7. I've never seen so many whiny "megaman" fans in one place. Do y'all not realize they've been pumping out new megaman game collections every year now?? They clearly still care about this franchise and to think they don't have a plan to bring newer games to each respective series is delusional. Stop acting so entitled and enjoy what they've been putting out if you're true fans.

    1. Who made you the arbiter of fandom?
What is a true fan anyway? You know, there is a hyuuuuuuuuge difference between a "fan" and a "consumer"... I can presume you are just a consumer. Someone who eats up every piece of slop they throw your way because Mega Man (tm)
Since you brought up the collections, you wanna discuss the issues with them? Probably not.

    2. Yes. Yes. I also see many whiny fans were acting like SammyClassicSonicFan knockoffs. As a result: They really sure did lack him.

    3. So gungrave, how much does Capcom pay you to shill for them? Collections are nice and all except for the fact that they are missing a large amount of games that have yet to be in any collections at all. Fans just want a new game of some sort, the complaints are justified.

We keep seeing them pump out new Resident Evil games, Monster Hunter and Street Fighter but not Mega Man. But hey you go ahead and keep defending Capcom if that's what makes you sleep at night.

      Delete
    4. gungrave you are part of the issue, blindly defending Capcom and trying to act like you speak for all fans when in fact you don't. Most of us just want a new game and for Capcom to stop putting in the bare minimum of effort. Fans of Resident Evil, Monster Hunter and Street Fighter all get new games regularly, meanwhile Mega Man gets the bare minimum.

Maybe you should wake up and face reality and quit thinking fans have to accept the bare minimum and like it. People like you would defend Capcom for anything.

      Delete
    5. Sorry, but Gungrave’s right.

      Delete
    6. Collections aren't new content, I wonder when delusional consumers will realize that. The entire franchise fits in a single Blu ray and they could've done this millennia ago. It's time for gungrave to accept that he is wrong and he's in the minority.

      Delete
    7. What? He is saying that you should stop acting entitled and enjoy what they have been pulled out if you are a true fan.

      Delete
    8. gungrave, you think you can manipulate fans into feeling bad for complaining about the fact there's only been 1 game since 2010, 8 whole years, to 11's release in 2018 and it's been 5 years and counting since then? You think making collections count as anything? And to top it off, you have ZERO, zilch, zip , nada evidence that they are working in any game. From a real fan GFY! G. F. Y.!

      Delete
    9. i agree with gungrave people need to accept megaman is niche and not popular that is not a money maker GUNVOLT /gacha got away with it because of waifus that everyone here bitched about . same as fire emblem that 3ds game was supposed be the last one but nah waifus. even if a x9 happens people with bitch where is battle network vice versa. we need people to remember wat is a megaman first and make new fans (full charged) ( hey guys it that smash character) before even the thought of making a new game .people also need to know fans also killed legends 3/ darkstalkers too not just capcom is a company to make money the end of the day not your dad just because u scream at them especially a random spot that they cant hear u while laugh at u as their is barely any megaman fans at all tierlist monhunt saved to company from bankruptcy and paid bills then RE re6 still made more money then street fighter sf5 got saved cause of cheap costumes. mm11 came out but wasn't a RE engine

    10. Of course saying 'entitled' is not accurate since most are paying for the game. But collections and no new games for 5 ears straight (Dive does not count) indicates the series is a shadow of its former self and pretty much dead unless they revive it again like that gap between 2010 and 2018. Collections are mostly nothing new (some new stuff like art and one on one battles in X, at least). The goal of the collections was to also gauge interest to see if it was worth making more MM games, they even said that an X9 would depend on the sales of MM11 and the X collections. They sold well, so they seemed to have broken their promise. Also the X collections for many people have high lag. On steam, for the first collection (x1-x4), I could and had to tweak the config file to help after seeing what others did + trial and error, but if someone is buying it, that shouldn't have been an issue in the first place. Capcom has had plenty of time to fix it with an update but AFAIK, have not.

People have a right to complain especially if they are buying it and less than ideal effort was put into it. It being a niche series never stopped new MM games before for 2+ decades in the 90s and 2000s, so it shouldn't now since overhead costs in making them is low compared to AAA games (maybe more so with all our new tech and software tools that are more productive assuming similar graphics and gameplay to those days). I bet you at this point if they did what most of us wanted and made a decent looking X9, MM12, ZX3, or even Legends 3, it would be selling more than enough. I would buy all 4 of those if they were out.

TBH, continuing the main time line series is mostly all I care about, not merch, not spin offs, nor other distractions, or Megaman in name only games. I never touched things like MM soccer, for example, and CM was so annoying I had to take it back to the store after buying it in 2004 (turn based is too much of a deviation for me and I like full on the spot control when I play a game). MM needs to stay platformer action, not gacha, not turn based nonsense.

Of course I don't deny some art in some of the posts on this site is nice, and additional storyline details are always welcome. I don't care for things like Dive, but sure, can't deny the nice art.

    11. Well said Gary, the long time fans definitely have a right to feel rather annoyed that we are not getting new games. I don't understand some of these people defending gungrave who's basically telling everyone to accept any scraps Capcom decides to toss out and like it.

And for the final time for his defenders and the Capcom defense force, collections are not new games. Theres certainly a place for collections but we need new Mega Man games as well.

" fans also killed legends 3"
Child, you deserve a barrage of insults for that statement alone but I won't. Give back the phone to your mother, instead. DON'T try to corruptly revise history. You WEREN'T there, so don't type from ignorance. Darkstalkers fans aren't to blame for the current state of their franchise either, leave them alone.
"make new fans (full charged) ( hey guys it that smash character) before even the thought of making a new game"
That's not how marketing a product or a franchise works, it helps but you've got it backwards. The game comes first then the cameos and tv shows.
"capcom is a company to make money the end of the day not your dad just because u scream at them"
Child projection, a classic at this point.
      " mm11 came out but wasn't a RE engine"
What does this have to do with anything? The popularity of the game wouldn't have changed if they used that engine instead of MT Framework 2.x. The game is not designed to have the most advanced effects and graphics either so this doesn't make any sense.

      @anon December 21, 2023 at 10:36 AM
Nothing entitled coming from a customer, in fact you have no idea what entitled means. I paid for a BROKEN and CENSORED collection (pc X Legacy Collection vol. 1, crashing until you manually change the config file, random black screens or zoom ins because the game fails at detecting the screen dimensions, framerate issues, the Roman salute from General in the opening of X4 was lazily cut aka censored, etc.). I'm not going to applaud them for broken trash like an idiot like YOU, useless cattle. You can GFY too!
