Rockman X DiVE - Challenge System Sneak Peek

Via the Official Facebook Page, we have a sneak peek of the Rockman X DiVE "Challenge System". This mission based system will let us challenge bosses and mid-bosses of the game directly.

The first mission we can see is the mid-boss Bee Blader that appears for the first time in the Highway stage from the first Mega Man X game. You can see a couple of in-game images of the Challenge System after the break!

Vile's welding the Z-Saber, alright! We never thought we'd see the day.

More news soon!

  1. I've never been a fan of Challenge modes.
I just want to run and gun.

  3. That is a very good idea. Sometimes in game i want to fight a boss battle that i particularly enjoyed, but don't like having to play the level again to do so.
Vile using a saber is really really weird.
Also, i did'nt knew that boss was called Blader.

    1. Yeah, the Bee Blader; a big part of my childhood memories! I couldn't help including these guys in my Mega Man/Incredibles fanfiction I write. :)

  5. I’m starting to worry about the length of stages in Dive. They’re using the Bee Blader as an example of a boss again, and we haven’t seen any gameplay showing more than 2 screens worth of horizontal space in a stage.

I’d like to assume the stages are long, but I have a feeling 1-1 is going to be the highway stage up until the first Bee Blader, then 1-2 is up until the second one. 1-3 could just be the X2 intro boss on the highway stage and that’s the end of Chapter 1. Maybe even add some dialogue skits in between some of the 1-X Missions.

If we get full stages I’m going to be hype, but they could easily give us bite-sized cut up levels for a more mobile-friendly experience.

    1. i'm pretty sure they only show the same bosses to avoid reveling too much too soon. You know, like theses movie that put all the important scene in the trailer.
this way, when you play the game and suddenly, say...Magma dragoon pop up to fight you're there like "woaw, yeah, he's here!"

    2. Hmm...I wonder if Magma Dragoon WILL pop up in X Dive somewhere...? :)
