Rockman X Falcon Armor "Riobot" Announced (Sentinel, Eiichi Shimizu)

A poster announcing a brand-new Rockman X "Falcon Armor" figure was spotted at Wonder Festival by Rockman Unity's Ucchy-san. The figure will be released under Sentinel's "Riobot" line, which means it will be a tad bigger, and more detailed than Sentinel's previous 4Inch-Nel Rockman figures.

The figure is being designed by Eiichi Shimizu, a Japanese illustrator perhaps best known for his work on Linebarrels of Iron, Ultraman, and Getter Robo Devolution.

No word yet on release date or price. More news on this front soon!

Mega Man Franchise Now at 34 Million Units Sold; Up 1 Million from Last Quarter

If you needed further evidence that the Mega Man franchise is not only in good health but steadily growing, this is it.

Thanks to the combined efforts of Mega Man 11 and additional Mega Man X Legacy Collection sales last quarter, the franchise just broke 34 million units. That's an additional million units in growth from Q2 2018, which was first reported back in November. In eight months time, the Mega Man franchise has gone from 32 million units (June 2018) to 34 million units (February 2019).

All in all, this is great news. It's heartening to see that, after so many years of dormancy, Mega Man is back and performing better than ever. It can only get better from here, folks.

Mega Man 11 Sold 870,000 Units; Mega Man X Legacy Collection at 920,000

Hot on the heels of yesterday's news that both Mega Man 11 and Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1+2 are performing well, Capcom just released some sales numbers.

In a Q&A session posted to their Investor Relations page, Capcom revealed that Mega Man 11 sold approximately 870,000 units since it launched on October 2nd, 2018. Meanwhile, Mega Man X Legacy Collection (they don't specify if it's Legacy Collection 1 or 1+2) sold a total of 920,000 units since it launched in July 2018. These are cumulative numbers across all platforms – PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

If Mega Man 11 and Mega Man X Legacy Collection continue to sell at a steady rate, both titles could very well achieve one million units each by the end of this quarter. If that happens, they will join the ranks of the few Mega Man titles to sell a million or more units in the franchise's 30-year history.

Make no mistake: Mega Man is back. Onto the next!

Osaka Police Appoint Mega Man as "Cyber Security Month" Ambassador

Mega Man has been enlisted to help raise awareness about cyber security in Osaka, the prefecture's police force announced. The government has declared February 1st through March 18th as "Cyber Security Awareness Month", and Mega Man will be there front and center.

Mega Man will be honored with a letter of certification on February 1st at the Osaka Station Atrium Plaza (North Gate Building, 2nd floor) on February 1st at 2pm. Citizens and fans are encouraged to come and watch the event and pick up some exclusive, Mega Man-endosred cyber security goods.

Although Mega Man.EXE would probably be a bit more fitting here, it's Mega Man's classic incarnation that will be the face of the month. It doubles as a special promotion for Mega Man 11, too. If you're in the area, why not check it out?

Roll Caskett 4 Inch-Nel Recolor Announced for Winter Wonder Festival 2019 [Updated]

Less than a month since the release of the "Regular" and AmiAmi-exclusive version of Sentinel's 4 Inch-Nel Roll figure, Capcom announced today a recolor that will go on sale at the 2019 Winter Wonder Festival (starts in February). Limited quantities will be sold but no further details have been shared. If we take into consideration the other Wonder Festival or Convention exclusive recolors we've seen in the past, it can be assumed that the price will be roughly the same as the Regular version and limited quantities will be sold at Sentinel Online Store after the festival ends.
