New "66 Action" Mega Man Mini Figures Due in September (Update)
Amazon Japan accidentally tossed up a pre-order page for Bandai's new 66 Action Mega Man figures. It's since been removed but the listing did confirm a September release. The new figures will be available in two SKUs: a box of ten figures for 5,940 yen ($54) and a Ride Armor 2-pack for 6,480 yen ($60). As a reminder, these are big boxes of individual blind box figures, which will be sold at a *much* lower price at retail. The Ride Armors are sold in a 2-pack only. [UPDATE: Amazon's page is live with images of each figures' accessories. You can find the Ride Armor listing here.]
The new figures include Vile, Star Force Mega Man, Cut Man, Super Mega Man, X's Ride Armor and Vile's Ride Armor. The X figure isn't exactly new – it was included in the initial 66 Action line from 2016 – but the face looks a little different.
Pre-orders should go live soon. Thanks to Reploid21XX for the heads up!

Another Look at "66 Action Star Force Mega Man" Mini Figure
First revealed at the New York Toy Fair in February, Bandai brings us another look at the upcoming 66 Action Star Force Mega Man mini figure. As his namesake implies, our blue Wavemaster here stands at 66mm or roughly 2.6 inches tall. He's small but the articulation should be pretty good.
Additional information about Star Force Mega Man and the other new 66 Action Mega Man figures (Super Mega Man, Cut Man, Vile and Ride Armors) is expected to hit on May 1st. Stay tuned!

First Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 Gameplay
Capcom TV spent a good portion of their show today checking out Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 (3:22:00 above). Ucchy-san and his companions took viewers through the museum mode – checking out music, old promotional trailers (the promo for X1 is an early version of the game with the 'P' health bar) – and watched a little bit of The Day of Sigma. It's still hard to tell if the the latter has been remastered, though it looks quite nice.
We also get a good look at the various menus. When choosing which game to play, it appears you can toggle between the Japanese and English versions with a simple press of the square button (PlayStation 4 version). From that same menu you can also switch to "Rookie Hunter" mode (easy mode).
Moving on, they checked out the brand-new "X Challenge" mode, which pits the player against two bosses at once. They squared off against Chill Penguin and Frost Walrus while wearing the mysterious white/blue Ultimate Armor. Capcom TV did not elaborate whether or not its color scheme correlates with a new special weapon exclusive to X Challenge, a popular fan theory. The footage of X Challenge is very brief but it looks pretty fun!
Closing off the X Legacy Collection portion, they showed off the limited edition and the differences between the PS4 and Switch versions (2 discs on PS4, one cartridge and a download voucher for Legacy Collection 2 on Switch). And that's about it. Look forward to more news soon!
Rockman 30th Anniversary Concert Announced for Japan
It's not a birthday without a little music, yeah? Capcom Japan announced that they will hold a Rockman 30th anniversary concert at Nakano ZERO Dai Hall in Tokyo on July 8th.
The concert will feature music from *every* Rockman series: classic, X, DASH, etc. The music will be composed by Noriyuki Iwadare, who is perhaps best known for his work on Ace Attorney, Grandia, Lunar, and Langrisser. Iwadare also had a hand in Rockman X7's score and the Air Man stage arrangement featured in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wii U. The 30th anniversary band will also include Miyazaki Daisuke (guitar), Enomoto Atsushi (bass), Kaimura Noriyuki (keyboard), Yamauchi Yu (drums) and MOS (various).
Lastly, the concert will feature a special Rockman panel where new information and announcements will be presented. Various goods and merchandise will be on hand for attendees as well. Pre sale tickets start on April 22nd at 7,500 yen. Ticket sale information can be found here.

SNES Mega Man X3 Confirmed for Mega Man X Legacy Collection
Just in case the footage from the game's official Japanese website wasn't enough, a Capcom representative has confirmed that the Super Nintendo version of Mega Man X3 will be featured in Mega Man X Legacy Collection. At this time, however, it remains to be seen if the PlayStation version exclusives – the animated FMVs and soundtrack, – will make their way to the extras gallery in some form or another.
This was one of the more popular questions I received in gathering feedback for my go-to Capcom person. I have a number of questions about Mega Man X Legacy Collection that I've sent off. Some of these include:
- Will there be a rewind feature?
- Will there be dual audio?
- Any plans to re-translate/redub MMX5 or MMX6?
- Will there be an option to turn off the often-intrusive Alia dialogue in MMX5?
- Has The Day of Sigma been remastered in any way?
- Is the bonus museum mode content split between the two collections or is it the same regardless?
What other questions do you have? Drop 'em in the comments. I should be hearing something back relatively soon!

Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1+2 Pre-Orders Are Live (Updated)
All three physical versions of Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1+2 are now available to pre-order from GameStop: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are 2-disc sets; Legacy Collection 1 on one disc, Legacy Collection 2 on the other. For Nintendo Switch, the bundle will include a cartridge with Legacy Collection 1 and a digital download voucher for Legacy Collection 2.
If you're looking to import the Japanese versions, your best bet at the time of this writing is Play Asia, Amiami or Nin-Nin Game. Amazon Japan are not shipping the games outside of Japan at this time. That may change closer to release but there's no guarantee. UPDATE: International shipping now available from Amazon!
Lastly, I'd like to point out that the standalone physical release of Rockman X Anniversary Collection 2 is indeed shipping on its very own Nintendo Switch cartridge. It's the only way to own the second collection on a physical Switch cartridge because on the 1+2 bundle – both in Japan and the US – it's in the form of a digital download voucher. You might want to look into importing it!
