Capcom Game Boy Advance Games Confirmed For Wii U VC

The leaked OFLC ratings for Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue and White are indeed true. Speaking with IGN, a Capcom spokesperson has confirmed both versions for Wii U. What's more, it appears additional GBA games from Capcom are in the pipeline. Here's the quote:

"We are working on bringing this and other GBA titles to the North American Virtual Console," a Capcom spokesperson said. "We'll have more information about the lineup in the coming months. For Australia and Europe, we are still in discussions about the release of Virtual Console titles for those markets."

The company's GBA library is bursting with Mega Man games, as you'll recall. I've little doubt we won't see all twelve on Wii U eventually. Naturally, we'll keep an ear out for future updates.

Stay tuned!

Dawn of X Trade Paperback Outed By Amazon

Despite having a long-distance release date of January 13th, 2015, the ninth Mega Man trade paperback has already been listed on Amazon.

At 104-pages, it will compile the entire "Dawn of X" storyline. As the usual pattern dictates, that's issues 37 through 40. Beyond an early 2015 release date, however, there are no other details. Expect them to bubble up as the months fly by.

What Are The Chances Of Mega Man In 'NES Remix?'

NES Remix is a jumble of bite-sized challenges based on classic first party NES favorites. Ever wanted to play as Link in Donkey Kong? It's that sort of game.

With the sequel due out in a couple of days, sights are already set on the potential third entry with hopes of Nintendo expanding the series to include third party games like Mega Man, Castlevania, and Contra. There's some real potential for fun crossovers... but what are the chances of that actually happening?

IGN recently pitched that question to NES Remix director Koichi Hayashida. “Well personally I'm a fan of those games, and I like them a lot," he said. “If there's a big enough outpouring of support for these titles, it's something I'd like to take a look at.”

Hayashida is also keen on the idea of Nintendo branching the Remix series out to other platformers with challenges based on the SNES and other legacy consoles. "If we get a big enough cry for that, with a lot of people saying, 'Hey, we'd love to see more of these perhaps for the SNES, Game Boy or Game Boy Advance,' then it would be something we can take a look at,” Hayashida continued.

As we've seen recently, Mega Man is a perfect fit among Nintendo's all-stars. The franchise would be a welcome addition to future Remix titles, I'm certain. All in all, though, it depends on the demands of the players.

Game Center CX to Air Mega Man X Episode Next Week

On next week's new episode of Game Center CX, everyone's favorite game-testing everyman, Shinya Arino, will face off against Mega Man X. The episode will air April 24th on Fuji TV, according to the show's official website.

For the uninitiated, GCCX is a Japanese television show that follows comedian Shinya Arino as he attempts to conquer classic video games. As the Section Chief at fictional company "Game Center CX", Arino is given a full day to beat a challenge presented by his crew. Unfortunately for Arino, he's pretty bad at video games. His quirks, jokes, and banter with his staff as he struggles along makes for excellent entertainment. You really should check it out.

Naturally, we'll be on the lookout for the subbed episode from GamingCX. Stay tuned!

Check Out the 3D Battle Network Fan Project

In lieu of anything from Capcom, the Mega Man fan games really seem to be coming out in force... or maybe we just have more time to focus on them these days. Whatever the case, here's a neat project from Drsypher and HeatPhoenix: Mega Man Battle Network 3D.

As you might have guessed, they're attempting to recreate the tried and true Battle Network formula in 3D. "Battle chips, navis and program advances are all back in three dimensions in Mega Man Battle Network 3D," reads the above video's description. "Collect chips and build your own folder and take on a variety of battles and challenges!"

According to "Team MMBN3D", the project aims to combine the very best elements of all the Mega Man Battle Network games into one engine. The game will be available on PC later this summer.

If you're interested in learning more, hit up YouTube channel, or following them on Tumblr and Twitter.

Thanks for the heads up, Team MMBN3D!
