Check Out the Fan-Made "Mega Man 11" Soundtrack

In case the post title didn't make it clear, this is fan-made. Fan-made. Yes Mega Man 11 doesn't exist, but hey, a guy can dream, right?

To honor the Blue Bomber's upcoming 25th anniversary, professional video game composer Xavier "mv" Dang created an entire chiptune soundtrack for a fake "Mega Man 11." Right now, you can tune in to a listening party on his TwitchTV channel. Shortly afterwards, he'll release the album on his Bandcamp page for free download!

All in all, the OST is a true labor of love. If you've got an ear for chiptune music, check it out!

KodyKoala's Battle Damaged Proto Man

Donald "KodyKoala" Kennedy has worked his magic once again. Hot off the heels of his battle damaged Mega Man figure, his latest creation focuses on a similarly battered and bruised take on the Blue Bomber's brother, Proto Man.

"Here is another commission that I did. I wanted to focus on Protoman’s shield for this one, and I like how the face turned out with the eyeball behind the glasses," writes KodyKoala. "This took me about 15 hours to complete and I used a vinyl Protoman and random robot parts and wires."

You can check out more pictures of this gruesomely awesome piece on KodyKoala's Flickr gallery here.

New “We are ROCK-MEN!" Album Planned

Well, it looks like another new Rockman arrange album is headed our way. Amazon Japan has listed “We are ROCK-MEN! 2", attached to a December 19th release for 2,100 Yen (about $27.00 US).

For now, no other details about this new album exist. We can, however, assume the same crew will be back with another helping of delicious arrangements. The original “We are ROCK-MEN! album was headed up by Capcom Japan's own in-house sound team, which featured a number of arranged tracks from the Classic, X and Legends series.

Stay tuned for more details! Source: The Mega Man Network

In Case There Was Any Doubt, Xover is Still Headed Stateside

In spite of a decidedly negative reception to the game's Tokyo Game Show debut, Rockman Xover is still planned to hit North America. Over at Ask Capcom, Christian "Sven" Svensson denied speculation the game would no longer be localized simply because of criticism:

"We continue to send feedback to the mobile teams in Japan. As it stands now, to answer the OP's question, it is still coming Westward at some point."

That first sentence is interesting. Could feedback (i.e. complaints) dictate the direction the game takes from here on out? Hard to say, really. If Capcom wants it out before year's end, I doubt we'll see any major modifications. Some polish, maybe, but nothing earth-shatteringly different.

In any case, I find it a reassuring they've got their antennas out. And hey, we aren't the only ones feeling a little uncomfortable about Xover; Sven also holds some concerns too.

We'll just have to wait and see what happens I guess.

Johnny Yong Bosch's Take On Iris' Death

Here's Johnny Yong Bosch (voice of Zero in Marvel vs. Capcom 3) at the Montreal Comic-Con courteously agreeing to reenact Iris' Mega Man X4 death scene... in song.

Rockman & Forte WS Robot Masters Recreated in NES Style

Rockman & Forte: Challenger from the Future, a Rockman game licensed by Bandai for the WonderSwan portable system, is perhaps best known for its wonky Robot Master cast. There's Aircon Man (an air conditioner), Konro Man (a portable stove) and Dangan Man (a freaking bullet), among others. And you thought Sheep Man was weird? Puh-lease.

Because no one really does anything with these guys, Tarbo thought it might be fun to recreate each Robot Master in 8-bit. The above video comes from Tarbo's work-in-progress "Roll-chan" fan-game, which shows off what it might be like to fight those weirdos in an NES-style Mega Man game. Impressive stuff, to say the least.

Like what you see? You'll find more Roll-Chan gameplay at Tarbo's YouTube channel here.

Harada Wants to Localize Project X Zone

Tekken producer and all-round cool guy Katsuhiro Harada is championing Namco Bandai to localize Project X Zone, the 3DS strategy-RPG that pits numerous characters from Namco Bandai, Capcom, and Sega games into battle.

When asked about the game over Twitter, Harada replied, "I proposed localization of Project X Zone." He quickly followed that statement up with "Not decided yet, but It will be realized if I continue proposing."

By no means does this confirm PXZ will be localized. However, it's reassuring to learn that someone with such a large influence at Bandai Namco is fighting for the good fight. Let's hope for the best!
