RM9 E-Can Beverage Up On Ebay

Although it may contain honey bee spit, the E-Can beverage is without a doubt, a must have for all collectors.

Currently, ebay is hosting an auction where one can bid on a single can. As of this writing, the auction is at $10.00 USD with 11 bidders. Goodness, that's an awful lot for an energy drink.

Thankfully, the seller is located within the US, so you won't have to wait forever to get it in your greedy hands.

Are you willing to possibly pay over $10.00 for a single can?

RUMOR: 'SEGA vs. Capcom' To Be Revealed At TGS

Earlier today, I received word from an anonymous source that both Capcom and SEGA are set to unveil a cross over title during the Tokyo Game Show festivities dubbed, "SEGA vs. Capcom: Great Clash Generation."

The game is described as a "hybrid RPG-fighting game" coming out on the Nintendo DS in Q1 2009 with a "likely" PSP port later in the new year.

SEGA is apparently heading the game's development alongside Dimps. Capcom however will take on the role of supervisor.

Anonymous did not have any knowledge as to who would make up the character roster, but did mention that Rockman and Sonic's presence were a given.

We'll find out if this rumor holds any truth later this week, TGS is set to begin Thursday, October 9th.

Thanks Anon

Get Equipped With Papercraft Cut Man, Awkward Fanfic

Don't you just love a good papercraft?

Courtesy of Nintendo Papercraft, we have ourselves a delightful chibi Cut Man. Nifty! The best part is, the papercraft comes with it's own back story:

"General Cutman comes from an Alternate Universe, where he was the original DLN-003. After he was implemented an experimental genius chip, his IQ raised to unmatched levels (towering above 200), and started to be perceived by Doctor Wily as too dangerous. During Wily's attempt to shut the rebellious robot down, Cutman escaped, severing Wily's arm in the process, and was never heard of until a few years later."

....intense.

Papercrafters shouldn't pass this one up, it offers quite a challenge! Download it here.

REMINDER: Blues DLC Available Today (For Wii)

The day has come! Blues is scheduled to make his Rockman 9 debut in the form of DLC for mere 200 Wii Points

Plus side of playing as Blues:

-Blues CAN slide and charge shots.
-Deflect small shots with his sheild
-Utilize Adapters (Sled, Coil, etc.)

On the downside:

-NO STORY
-Contact with bullets/enemies pushes Blue back twice as far as Rockman
-Lose Charge (Charge Shot is interrupted when hit)
-Twice as much damage taken than Rockman
-Maybe a few more tidbits I'm forgetting.

View pictures and video of Blues in action here and here!

Xbox and PS3 users unfortunately have to wait a short while longer to play as the red robot. Blues will be available tomorrow on XBLA while PSN users will have to wait till Thursday.

I don't know about you, but I'm quite excited.

Brief New SSR3 Footage

For the uninformed, Nintendo recently held their fall press conference to announce new and awesome games for the DS and Wii games (Sin and Punishment 2 and Punch-Out FTW!). The biggest announcement of the night was the new iteration of the popular DS, the DSi.

The DSi is not the successor to the DS/Lite, rather a remodel with two cameras, and SD card slot, slightly bigger screens and a whole bunch of new networking features.

During its reveal, Nintendo played a montage video showing a handful of DS games coming this fall and of course, Shooting Star Rockman 3 made an appearance.

SSR3 clip begins at 00:51:

Makes you wonder, will SSR3 feature DSi cam gameplay? The option to take a photo of yourself and use it as your Brother Band avatar?

Quality Time With Ippo Yamada

Siliconera had some time to sit down and chat it up with Ippo Yamada, lead sound designer at Inti Creates.

The interview talks about the process of recreating 8bit music for Rockman 9, their inspiration for the music, and a few hints about what to expect from the upcoming Arrange Album.

Give it a read!

Capcom Is 'Cautiously Optimistic' About MegaMan 9's Sales

Now this is interesting. Remember those awesome MM9 sales numbers? Well, Capcom has pretty much dismissed them:

“Any numbers you’ve seen or quoted are not correct. That said, I think we’re cautiously optimistic about MM9’s performance.” - Christian Svensson, Corporate Officer/VP of Strategic Planning & Business Development

So, the numbers from VGChartz are not correct, but the sales must be good enough to make Capcom "cautiously optimistic."

I'm REALLY curious now as to what the "official" numbers are.

Yet Another New SSR3 Wallpaper

Surprise, surprise.

The Wave Station has really been crapping out these wallpapers, eh?

The site updated with a new Red Joker wallpaper (right) and a few tidbits concerning SSR3's TGS appearance. Nothing we haven't heard before however.

Hopefully, worthwhile SSR3 updates soon!

Press Kits Are Shipping Out

Title says it all.

Myself along with other fortunate readers, have just received e-mails confirming our copies of the MegaMan 9 Press Kit have begun shipping. Awesome.

Those who did not yet receive a promo code still have plenty of time; Capcom continues to observe Unity members who are "worthy" enough to receive the redeemable code. You can prove your worth by being an active Capcom Unity member (don't spam the boards) or personally displaying your affection.

Of course, if you're too lazy to work for the code or have over $500, there's always ebay.

More Rockman 9 Arranged Soundtrack Samples

More samples from Inti!

This time around, we've got a fancy remix of Magma Man's stage (Magma Burning) and a vocalized remix of the credits.

Still, I'm not too big on the remixes. C'mon, where's the rock/techno?

Still, the soundtrack is worthy of a purchase simply because it features art by Ariga san. God bless that man.

Rockman Made Out of Legos and Win/ Details On How to Get MM9 Promo Codes

Submitted by AsianSteev, this over sized Rockman sprite is made out of bundles of Legos. Neato!

Like so many others, AsianSteev is attempting to impress the folks at Capcom Unity in order to receive a MM9 Press Kit promo code. Capcom USA announced they intend to give more MM9 Press Kit promo codes away, but only to Capcom Unity members who can someone display their "affection" for Rockman:

"We still have more codes to give out, so check your messages frequently! Show us you're a Mega Man fan through 'n through. Aside from giving out more codes, we'll be making a few available through the store in time. You may find it hidden in the store now, but it's priced extremely high. Don't worry though, those receiving codes are getting a major discount. Which is a far cheaper price than you'll find anywhere else.

So if you're still hoping for a code to get your hands on one of these cartridges, there's still hope! Be an active fan here on Unity, and you may win our hearts!"-Snow

Good luck to those who're interested. Thankfully, I received my promo code and I gotta say, without it, the kit is insanely expensive. Though I'm not at liberty to share its original price...
