sorry, not a fan of colors. the gamepl...@alilatias

sorry, not a fan of colors. the gameplay is good and all, but it doesn't work for me. the stages are too short, with the long ones usualy being boring "rollercoaster" stages. it's fine for some, but not for me. and generations' "classic" stages feel like sonic rush, without the boosting or tricks (played that limited edition demo). and yet, i had fun with sonic 06, and loved SA1 and 2, as well as the originals. wierd? probably. but oh well. this isn't the point. point is, sega's recent idea to release a collection of games, and then on the VERY consoles the did so on, (and even the wii!) they start releasing the games individualy, and charging more for them in total than the collection is going for, new OR used. and capcom is doing the same. stinkin'. THING. MMAC on all last gen, and MMXC on PS2 and cube, and guess what? now we're seeing the games re-released on this generation! why not re-release the collections? easy! THEY MAKE MORE MONEY THIS WAY! sure, nothing wrong with making money, but THIS, THIS is REDICULOUS! milking a few dollars more? for what! they're already filthy rich. oh yeah... the only other way to actualy make money, is to RELEASE NEW GAMES IN THE SERIES! and they're BOTH guilty of this in one sense. capcom: can the games deemed "too risky" (my butt they are) sega: release crappy games, with a "good" one every now and then. (i say it like that, because most may be happy with it, but not everyone.)

and let's not forget, that capcom put a CAD order out for SORR, shortly before re-releasing the original streets of rage, for iphone and ps3. the only way capcom wins here. they haven't put that order out for the nes demakes of mega 7 and 8.

and about my vegeta statement. i forgot about GT. accepted or not, he did wear black, but it wasn't a primary color. it was a shirt. compare that to shadow and bass' full body black. sure, his hair is black, but aside from his dad, isn't most saiyans hair black? (king vegeta's was a VERY dark brown) and trunks doesn't count. he's half human, and took his hair after bulma.

either way, crapcom AND $$$ega both need to straighten up. you have to admit that much.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4080026879350344019.post-22579671555722621672011-09-04T12:28:26.912-05:002011-09-04T12:28:26.912-05:00@Krazy

Really? *looks...@ September 3, 2011 10:56 PM Anon:

Really? *looks at calendar for a bit*

Bleargh. Further proves my point then. Capcom didn't do squat for MM's 20th anniversary, and given recent cancellations, what makes anyone think that something's going to change by the 25th anniversary?

Regarding Sonic... Meh, typo, I guess. I don't really keep up with Sonic that much. Still, Sonic used to be regarded as a zombie series with an arse backwards development direction leading to a terrible, split-up, rabid fanbase. (To the point where the 'Sonic Cycle' exists, and you all probably know what it means already.)

However, it seems in the past year or two alone, Sega has managed to just about completely turn that around. That Sonic Colors game seems to be critically acclaimed as one of the best Sonic games since the earliest ones, despite using the 3D style that I thought most of the fanbase hated. And now look at what Sega is doing for Sonic's anniversary - an anniversary game that looks like it features tons of references to past games, and allows you to play on the 2D plane with classic Sonic or the 3D plane with modern Sonic.

Capcom? They've fallen back to 8-bit digital downloads, made a really sad and confused westernization attempt that was eventually cancelled for better or for worse, and the only Mega Man game in recent years that couldn't be considered lazy or a rehash by any means was cancelled.

(Meanwhile, westernized DmC marches onwards even though most DMC fans don't even want it.

About two years ago, Capcom declared that they'd like to have one Resident Evil title per year. This year, we're seeing 3 or 4 Resident Evil titles, one already released with a form of 'you only have one save and you can't delete it or overwrite it with a new game' DRM that concerned a lot of people earlier in the year, to the point where there was a mechanism built in to prevent that save file from being corrupted as well.

Then there's Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 releasing just 8 months after regular MvC3. Come on, now, really?! At least now everyone knows why regular MvC3 felt so incomplete...)Alilatiasnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4080026879350344019.post-91377347353237981092011-09-04T11:50:47.035-05:002011-09-04T11:50:47.035-05:00^ I'm pretty sure I've seen Vegeta wearing...^ I'm pretty sure I've seen Vegeta wearing black in Dragon Ball GT.Krazy Monkeyhttp://solarblaze.deviantart.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4080026879350344019.post-43254160143394105062011-09-04T08:31:52.704-05:002011-09-04T08:31:52.704-05:00@ TTL: Sega does! there's alot more in common ...@ TTL: Sega does! there's alot more in common between these two companies than i'm comfortable with. not to mention, thier main platforming stars are both blue. and they both have a red companion that's stronger than them. oh yeah, and a black colored one, but i'd chalk that up to anime stereotyping. what anime hero DOESN'T have an antihero rival? and half the time, they wear black (vegeta is an exception)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4080026879350344019.post-79382041761949359062011-09-04T01:19:24.581-05:002011-09-04T01:19:24.581-05:00Yeah, wasn't the Starforce series part of Mega...Yeah, wasn't the Starforce series part of Mega Man's 20th anniversary?
