Junko Karashima Confirmed as Mega Man: Dual Override Sound Director

In a new interview with Nintendo Everything, members of the development team confirmed that Junko Karashima is serving as sound director, seemingly taking over the role from Mega Man 11 sound director Ryo Oshii. Karashima has a lengthy list of credits spanning numerous Dance Dance Revolution and beatmania titles, and more recently directed and composed music for Mega Man X DiVE.

When asked who is composing the music for Dual Override, the team did not reveal any individual composers just yet, but they did speak about Karashima’s role and the expectations surrounding the soundtrack:

"What we can say at this point is the sound director of Mega Man: Dual Override is Junko Karashima. She is someone who respects the music of all the other past Mega Man games and understands that there are high expectations and how important music is for a game like Mega Man: Dual Override. The goal is to maintain the things that remain important in a Mega Man game we’re hoping people are really excited for the music in Mega Man: Dual Override."
