NebulaJoy has released a cryptic teaser trailer for Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat that appears to hint at an upcoming collaboration with Mega Man X.
The trailer stops short of confirming whether X will join the game as a playable guest character or if the crossover will be limited to Mega Man X-inspired equipment and cosmetics.
That’s all we have to go on for now. We’ll share more details when NebulaJoy finally pulls back the curtain.

ReplyDeleteAfter X DiVE had DMC skins, now is MMX turn to the same in DMC... I'll keep hoping that someday DMC will have something with Arthur and Red Arremer...
ReplyDeleteI'll just wait for the eventual Peak of Combat Offline. X DiVE Offline was the only good thing to come out of X DiVE aside from people ripping assets. Removing the gacha, rebalancing the game to remove unnecessary grind, placing the experience behind a traditional price tag instead of countless microtransactions, being able to play offline with no server, creating and installing mods, etc. I'd rather Offline was what we had been given to begin with, I detest the free to play business model, but better late than never I suppose. It's a shame how many genuinely fun games are being bogged down by these greedy business models that expect people to pay many times more than the full game itself would be worth.
ReplyDeleteAlso on that note, there really needs to be a bigger cultural push back towards physical media. Physical copies of games is still the only true way to own a game and know that you'll still be able to play it when you feel like it in the future. If big corpo's can rip a game away from you to sell it back to you in the future, they won't hesitate.
As it is, I'm already starting to see the disgusting signs of paywalling new DLC behind re-releases of games that first came out not all that long ago starting to creep into the industry. For example, Gunvolt 3 came out back in 2022, but the new DLC coming out in October is releasing first as a Switch 2 version exclusive via the collection containing all 3 GV games, and then coming to Playstation and PC later also exclusive to the same collection. That means to even have the right to purchase the DLC if you already own GV3, you have to repurchase the game via the collection. Even if you own the collection on Switch 1, you get a second middle finger if you already owned GV3 before the collection by having to buy the collection a second time (and therefore GV3 a third time) for the Switch 2 version to get the new DLC since they are not bringing it to the Switch 1 version of the same collection. They're also re-releasing the iX games via a similar collection this year and undoubtedly are going to be making exclusive DLC for that collection too. The greed is only getting worse.
