Picross S: Capcom Classics Edition Announced for Nintendo Switch

Mega Man Picross, anyone? Almost! Juniper has announced Picross S: Capcom Classics Edition for Nintendo Switch. It features Picross puzzles built around classic Capcom characters and scenes, including a number of sprites and art based on Mega Man and Mega Man X

The game launches on Thursday, November 27th for $17.99. It’s also compatible with Nintendo Switch 2 and supports the Joy-Con 2’s mouse-style mode. More details and screenshots below!

Characters from Capcom‘s retro console titles appear in the PICROSS S series!

By solving Picross puzzles, you’ll see pixelated illustrations of nostalgic characters, familiar characters from the ongoing series, and famous scenes.

PICROSS is a picture crossword puzzle game in which you complete pictures using numbers as clues. With simple, easy-to-understand rules, anyone can enjoy it.

You can also solve PICROSS puzzles with family and friends, so you can enjoy the nostalgia of Capcom’s retro games while making new discoveries at the same time.

There are 150 questions each for “Picross” and “Mega Picross,” five for “Clip Picross,” and 40 for each of the piece puzzles, for a total of 200 questions, 30 for “Color Picross,” and five for “Extra.”

The “Time Attack” mode, in which you aim to complete Picross within the time limit, features 30 carefully selected Picross questions.

New Features
  • In the “Art Gallery” you can take a closer look at the key visuals used in the backgrounds.
  • By enabling the “Puzzle Board Coordinates Guide” option, you can easily specify rows and squares.
  • On Nintendo Switch 2, the Joy-Con 2 (R) mouse function is supported.
  • Mouse function is not available in the trial version.
