Mega Man Adventures Vol.1 Deluxe Edition Pre-Orders Open, Bonus Story Preview Pages

Heads up, Archie Mega Man fans: the pre-order campaign for the deluxe hardcover edition of Mega Man Adventures Volume 1 is now live. Pre-order within the first 72 hours to save $5 and snag an exclusive gold metal card illustrated by Jeffrey 'Chamba' Cruz.

Also, here are a couple of preview pages from the all-new bonus short story by Ian Flynn and Ryan Jampole. There’s no dialogue on these yet, but Jampole’s handiwork makes it pretty clear what's going down...

The short story will be included in all versions of the book. Alongside the deluxe edition, a standard hardcover will be sold through Amazon, the Udon Store (eventually), and other retailers. It’s currently planned for release on May 26, 2026.

We'll have more updates on Mega Man Adventures - and more content from Udon Entertainment - very soon!

  1. Up to $4768/5000 funded with 51 supporters, in the first hour. Nicely done.

  2. So be it. Not a fan of "Zoop" though.

  3. They're going really hard on those metal cards lately... glad to see some actual pages for the new stuff. Looks like fun!

  4. I actually think crowd-sourcing these releases is a good thing for us fans, because it helps ensure they get the demand lined up to actually end up producing them. As you know, we've been burned with several comic/manga releases that began but never actually finished, likely due to low sales.

With that said, I was sold until I saw the $14 shipping charge on top of the $50 price tag. Not sure a foil cover and metal card is worth it when I can get it for about 10-15 bucks cheaper whenever it releases IMO, not to mention the risk of yet another indefinite hiatus happening halfway through. I also don't have the foil variants of the other artbooks so wouldn't lose too much sleep over it.

    1. Rockman in general would benefit from crowdsourcing. Especially on the action figure side of things.
Want all the boss weapon colors? Crowdfund it. No overstock. No Ollies. Minimum lost sales in cancellations or what have you.

    2. Is crowdsourcing being used to mean the same as crowdfunding here? I'm not falling for THAT shit again.

    3. Too many people running these things don't account for how much the platforms take, and anyone who trusted them to be competent gets someone telling them it was their fault.

    4. Seems this is more of the Haslab approach, aka “fancy word for limited run preorder.” Though IDK the exact relationship between Udon and this storefront.

    5. @Jark That'd sit with me a lot better, to be honest.

    6. Haslab and Mattel Creations are kinda close. But not exactly what I would like to see. Kickstarter is fine, but has issues of it's own too. I really do wish the nostalgia collector market would move away from the overflow the shelves with a bunch of crap to a more build to order model for as long as their is demand to do so.

Bandai Premium is probably the closest to what I would like I have found. They seem to have a system where they will periodically revive online exclusive Gundam's and allow you to pre-order them. So FOMO is replaced by wait for the right time. And it results in a lot less peg warmers (A.K.A. Line Killers). The price for the kits is not mind-blowing either (for the most part)

  5. This raises an interesting query: if Oil Man drinks oil, is that cannibalism?

  6. Dubbing the Archie reprints as 'MegaMan Adventures', is that the title they're using for it? Or, I guess I'll go and ask my bossman that question. Maybe I'll remember to get back to you all on that. Ha ha ha.

  7. Crowdfunding again? Have we learned nothing from Mighty No.9? Not to mention, with Udon's terrible reputation of counting their chickens before they hatch, I expect this to fail spectacularly.
