First Look at Teppen's Mega Man Zero Card Pack

Teppen's next card pack is dubbed Absolute Zero, and it's dropping on December 27th. That's right; we don't even have to wait until 2024!

The card pack features the Mega Man Zero and Lost Planet series. The storyline combines the icy realm of Lost Planet with the clash between Neo Arcadia and the Resistance. Unexpectedly, Resident Evil's Leon Kennedy and Ada Wong embark on a journey to a parallel world, existing in an entirely different timeline.

In terms of Mega Man content, there are over 50 cards with characters from the Zero series. After the break below, you'll find the story trailer along with a sneak peek of several cards anticipated to be part of the collection!

Here are a few highlighted cards from this card pack. For further details such as card names and additional information, you can refer to the game's official website.

Did you notice that Ada changes into a Cyber-Elf when she travels with Leon to the parallel universe? It's a pretty neat detail! Here's the Cyber-Elf Ada design sheet:

In 2024, Teppen will undergo a shift in its card pack release schedule. Rather than launching a new card pack every two months, there will be a transition to a three-month interval between releases. Additionally, the customary supplemental cards will be available a month after the launch of each new card pack as usual.

Hopefully, this change doesn't signal a slowdown leading to an end of service soon. With over four years of providing fantastic Mega Man artwork, let's remain optimistic that the game maintains its momentum for several more years to come!

  1. Hey look, they made Zero look like Zero!

    1. That is Zero, in a copy of his Original body.

    2. It was time for Peak to arrive along with PeaX and MidRro, they can't just ignore him :)

    3. The "copy of his original body thing" isn't the reason why he looks the way he does, as Omega (who is in his original body) looks the same. Considering the apparitions in Pheonix Magnion's fight that retain their X series appearances, the general implication is that Zero gradually slimmed down from his X series appearance into his Z series appearance over time as he made modifications and upgrades to his body until he was eventually moved into the copy body that looked almost identical to the original body he had modified, and then he was put into stasis for 100 years until waking up in Zero 1.

At the time Zero 1 came out, it was a bit of a plot hole since at the time Zero was meant to be waking up from the stasis he was put into in X6, however X7 coming out later ruined that planned connection but also presented an opportunity they took advantage of to retcon the original plan and write in a bit more information to make his appearance make more sense.

    4. I think Shrap is talking about the fact that Teppen didn't redesign the Zero characters (and EXE) but redesigned the X characters in a drastic way.

  2. That video is the best MegaMan content I've seen all year probably (besides some of the lost art stuff). Actually kinda sick seeing the story of Neo-Arcadia and the resistance retold for a card game with like...crazy capcom crossover stuff. And cyber elf Ada is cute lol Though, I wonder if that was concepted by Nakayama or someone else.

  3. So I guess either Rockman corner isn’t going to address the elephant in the room, or the Mega Man NFTs were a joke after all.

    1. Since their initial announcement, I've remained steadfast in my decision: I won't give them any publicity. I stand firm against promoting NFTs in any way.

    2. Agreed. Scummy people don't deserve publicity good or bad. Just let it flop.

  4. Hello, how do you contact Capcom questions about their game lore?

  5. That's interesting.

  6. The art is sick. i hope Teppen continues for a bit longer so that we can get more of that Capcom crossover art.

    1. I wouldn't mind a Teppen artbook if Capcom ever decided to release one.

  7. Oooh! That's Ada Wong, huh? She looks positively adorable as a Cyber Elf! I wonder what her power is… She looks like a Nurse-type, but she could easily be a special Hacker-type, like Magician. Very interesting stuff!

  8. I will never understand why they don't just remake MMZ into a thirdperson hack and slash. 2D pixelshit is an oversaturated and dead genre full of talentless unimaginative hacks.
