An Hour of Mega Man X: Corrupted Gameplay

A new year, a new look at Mega Man X: Corrupted. Developer JKBGames has released an hour of gameplay footage, showcasing the impressive progress they've made on the much anticipated fan-game. The amount of care and dedication going into continues to impress, to say the very least.

There's no word yet on a release date, but we hope that JKBGames is getting closer to completing the game. In the meantime, hit the play button above and enjoy!

  1. It's... so... beautiful...

Last I read, Warp Vulpix was the only unfinished Maverick left. There's also all the fortress stages and a couple other miscellaneous stages left to do.

  4. This update gives me some bad Mega Man ZX flashbacks. Yes, I said "bad". Hopefully, it's not like that game. If it's more like the Zero series, then that's fine. ZX was just… too much pretended too poorly, for my tastes. And this is coming from someone who appreciates the grind.

    1. Haven't we known for a long time that Corrupted is closer to ZX than anything?

    2. Uh. "Too much presented too poorly", I meant. Dang auto-correct.

    3. It seems to have a detailed Map, which is what the original ZX really needed.

  5. I just can't care anymore. It's been close to what, 15 years? At this point it's not a game anymore. It's just a sprite based animated show we've all been following for the past decade and a half that shows a "what if" game. There is no release date, and frankly, there never will be. I just can't begin to care anymore when I can tell that it will never come out.

At this point I would expect Mega Man Legends 3 to come out before this comes out. Hell, I guarantee there will be a proper mainline Mega Man X game released well before this ever comes out.

Is the effort laudable? Sure. But updates for a game in development kind of start to be meaningless noise when development drags on long enough that it becomes clear noone will ever actually play this game besides JKB himself.

    1. Some streamers on Twitch played an earlier demo of it.

    2. The problem is, is that JBK keeps adding and changing everything instead of going with the "less is more" route. Bloodstained did it correctly by making the basic game first, THEN ADD bonus DLC.
Removing the mine carts from Crystal Rafflar's has to be one of the most retarded things ever! And did anybody asked for retro bosses right away? I certainly didn't. And now there's some stupid Tetris stuff NOBODY ASKED FOR!
This is why I've lost my respect for JBK to the point I might notify Capcom about his "donations" on Twitch!

    1. If it has a discord, then its going to be bad regardless. 15 years? Its probably because theyre banning people all day with their childish clique instead of working on the game.
