Mega Man X 4Inch-Nel Heads to Retail Later This Week

Due to manufacturing issues, Sentinel's 4Inch-Nel Mega Man X figure had to be delayed from February to March. Today, however, a new release date has been set: Saturday, March 25th. That date is a guarantee for folks who ordered the figure and live in Japan. For everyone else, your orders should ship out soon after.

Sentinel did not discuss which components caused the delay - the magnetic feet are highly suspect, though - but that's all in the past and collectors can now look forward to a shiny new toy coming very soon.

Original Rockman 4 Boss Design Submissions Translated

Now this is really something. Chris Covell of Your Weekly Famicom - a site set up to translate portions of old Weekly Famitsu issues - translated Capcom's commentary on the eight winning Rockman 4 boss designs. The original artwork of the winning submissions were published, too. I do believe some of these haven't been seen in 26 years!

Don't forget, this was the same boss contest that Yusuke Murata (Eyeshield 21, One-Punch Man) won. His winning submission, Dust Man, yielded the following comment:

"This one has a slightly unusual touch to its art.  Naming the character 'dust', of all things, was brilliant."

*Chris' note: "dust" is Japanese English for "garbage", hence all the trash/scrap in the level.  I assume the word was made via naïve backformation of "dustbin."

Check out all the winning designs and commentary here!

More Images and Info on HMO's Mega Man X Statue

HMO Collectibles' officially-licensed 1/4 scale Mega Man X statue is coming along nicely. The piece is still a little ways off from distribution, but we've got some additional information to tide you over.

According to HMO's Dani Hinze, the statue will be limited to 200 pieces worldwide with a "super rare red version" on-the-burner, too. It stands 20-inches with the base, 15-inches without.  Interchangeable parts and light-effects are planned, which will certainly play into the final statue's price tag.

Lastly, it sounds like there's a Zero statue in the works. Better start saving up now!
