First 4 Figures Reveals Mega Man X Statue

First 4 Figures, makers of various video game statues and figures, has revealed on their Facebook page the next Mega Man character to be immortalized in resin: X. This cover page banner is the initial glimpse of the statue, the full reveal coming Tuesday, December 9th.

Pre-orders go live on the same day. No word yet on the price tag, but I think it's safe to say it won't be cheap. Stay Tuned!

    1. Mean while Street Fighter V gets announced. You guys love Street Fighter? If you're gonna stick with Capcom, I suggest for those of you that don't, to start loving Street Fighter.

    2. I suggest start loving the Nintendo Virtual Console. That's about the only place you'll find MegaMan gaming goodness on the primary market these days.

There are nine really great Megaman console games (ten if you count Rockman & Forte). There are 2-3 great X games that capture that same spirit. There are even a few of the gameboy games to consider.

The average gamer has enough first-rate Megaman games to last them the rest of their days. The gaming industry these days has become an ugly place and Megaman couldn't survive it. Better that the franchise remain relatively untainted lest Capcom decides to go "Sonic the Hedgehog" on it.

I can't complain about Megaman merchandise because it's exactly the kind of thing we weren't getting when I was a kid. Granted we'll never get Megaman Universe or Megaman 11, but we got 9 & 10 and a wealth of high-quality Megaman figures. That's well more than I ever hoped to see way back when Megaman was celebrating it's 15th anniversary.

    3. Or even it's tenth! Man, I remember DROOLING over those model kits, but having no debit card or any way of getting them sucked! It wasn't til the 15th anniversary did I finally get Blues and Zero, and man was that awesome. I did have that cheesy lookin' Megaman from the Marvel vs Capcom line. Lol

Regardless, just keep your eyes open. Never know, you might get a surprise down the line somewhere. If they didn't see the reaction from Smash's Megaman reveal, well they're blind!

And yes, I do love me a good game of Street Fighter! But I gotta admit, it's way past time for a good game of X. Or any series for that matter. I would very much like to get my hands on that X figure with the swappable armor part and led buster! Now that's worth having in the collection!

I guess for me, I'm a bit frustrated nothing's come to light, but at the same time hopeful. There used to be a long wait between games back in the day. Not this long, but long still.

    4. Good stuff thread, making the Mega Man community look respectable. Too much negative crap has been passing around lately, and it is high time for some positivity and looking at the brighter side of things. Negativity, as many have witnessed time and time again, only leads down the hill.

  2. That face, though....

    1. Seriously, why is it so hard to get the face right? Capcom screwed-up with last year's statue, and needed the community to help notice and (fortunately) correct it before production; First 4's "classic" Mega Man looks pretty homely as well; now we get this X figure with an ugly face...

I don't think this is a purchase for me; best physical representation of X for me is the recent run of Ban Dai & Tamashii Nations figures, and this statue is not a better sculpt.

  3. Something about the face does look a little strange on this one.

I wonder what's up with that. It's not a problem with all the figures, but it seems to come up a little more than one might expect.

  6. Why is his neck color the same as his skin color? Is he a guy cosplaying as X? Cause that's the vibe I'm getting with this figure.

    1. Yeah, X's neck is supposed to be gray...

    2. I have actively informed them about the neck color of both their classic Mega Man figure and this new X figure. No one complained with Mega Man, but a couple of other people spoke up about X's neck color. Only recently have they addressed our concerns an said they will "get it sorted". Hopefully so! I don't think they look too bad myself.
