Capcom Essentials Bundle Confirmed, Mega Man 10 Included as Download Code

Capcom has confirmed the existence of the rumored "Capcom Essentials" bundle, a 5-in-1 package that includes Devil May Cry 4, Resident Evil 6, Dead Rising 2, Super Street Fighter IV, and Mega Man 10. Every game but Mega Man 10 ships on a disc.... that one is reportedly coming as a download code. Look above, it's the voucher on the far right.

So yeah, bit of a bummer. We knew the game wouldn't have its own disc, but I believe most of us were banking on the idea of it sharing a disc alongside another game. That way, collector's would have some physical representation of MM10 for the shelf. Oh well.

Disc or no disc, it's still a decent set. And hey, it even comes with a nifty Capcom travel bag. You know, for traveling.

The whole kit and kaboodle is due on October 8th for $59.99 US.

  1. *siiigh* Would it have been THAT difficult to put MM10 on a disc? If it wasn't "large enough" for that, why not include MM9 to justify giving it a full-size disc?

    1. Because it would still be small. Each game is maybe 30mb. That's not worth a bluray/DVD/

    2. How about a minidisc, then? Or do those not work well with consoles?

    3. How about instead of just those two you also include those complete works titles or whatever they were called from the PS1 era.

    4. I was gonna say "but translating the tips would require more effort than Capcom'd be willing to put forth", but I guess they could always dig up and reuse the Anniversary Collection's translations. (At least, I THINK they're translations; Atomic Planet might've written their own tips)

At the very least, they could stick MM8 on there; I don't think it's gotten a modern re-release yet.

  2. Can they at least put the manga boxart/poster instead of that ugly tron-ish Mega man 10 poster ?

  3. When the hell are they going to give us exact release date for those Game Boy titles, already? Ever since it was announced that they were getting Virtual Console releases, I've been checking the 3DS eShop for weeks, and they still have yet to appear, even in the "Coming Soon" section. I'm seriously on the verge of losing my patience.

  4. Well, the way I view it is,

They could have just as very easily not included MM 10 at all. But they did, so there's that.

  5. The only thing I see remotely want-able in that whole package is just the bag, depending on how big it is.

If it's decent sized, I would like to have used that for carrying controllers or whatever for friend hangouts or whatever.

But I'm taking the guess it's as big as the box itself, so it'd be a half-decent 3DS case and such, at most.

  6. Nah... I will skip it. I have that game but as download code.. not a own game for Megaman 10 ? Forget it, Capcom!

  7. Capcom: The company that sells you games you already owned or didn't even want in the first place.

These guys are the living epitome of "Over-The-Hill".

  8. I'll pass on this. :\ It includes games I already have and games I don't care to own. If MM10 had been a physical disc, I probably would have considered getting it, but it isn't. No thanks to this.
