Both volumes, original slated to ship at the end of March, are now looking to release on April 27. The Rockman 8 manga reprints, however, remain penned in for May.
For now at least, the books will remain exclusive to Japan. However, given Udon's recent track record of localizing new Rockman manga a year to months after a domestic release, we may yet see an English version of RM7. Fingers crossed!

Yeah, none of those images on the covers are new, they are just newly colored.
ReplyDeleteDr. Jerk pointed out the Forte and the Rock from the original Vol. 3 cover are now separated. But the Spring Man image is just taken from Spring's chapter, Cloud from the final chapter of Vol. 3, the factory-like background of the new Vol. 2 is the intro image to Burst Man's stage/chapter, etc. All recycled.

In fact, theya re very likely to localize this- and given the fact that they seem to be selling well, my hopes are pretty high for the X mangas.
Uhm...if this is the Rockman 7 manga, why is he wearing the Rush armor from Rockman 6? Or am I mixing up my games?

ReplyDelete@Maq: After you collect the RUSH plates in 7, yes, you get the Rush Super Adaptor, which combined the powers of 6's Jet and Power. Basically same look.
Personally, I'm kind of 'meh' on the Ikehara manga. It would be OK if they were translated, but I can't say I'm really looking forward to it. I think I have all of them, and to be honest, the stories are extremely boring and formulaic. Especially the early ones.
ReplyDeleteThey're basically: Rockman fights his way to Robot Master. Rockman gets his butt kicked. Rockman finds Robot Master's weakness. Rockman beats Robot Master. We snore.
@kobun37: Isn't that the same story of the games? :P We usually get beaten by a boss until we learn his movements and weaknesses. It's just a "mangalized" version of them.
