For those curious, ScrewAttack previously tackled the top 10 wors Robot Masters. You can check that out at the following link:
ttp://www.gametrailers.com/video/top-10-screwattack/62614
This video is much older, and was posted before the release of Mega Man 10, so it's safe to assume the then-recent unveiling of Sheep Man was likely a source of inspiration.
Of course, ScrewAttack doesn't speak for everyone; all of this is just for fun and pure entertainment
Thanks for the tip, Adam!
Fucking. Metalman. >_>
ReplyDeleteThere. I saved you all 6 minutes.
Sidenote: Their "Top 10 Worst Robot Masters Ever" list is even more ridiculous. Mind you, I'm not just pissed because both Springman and Topman made that list, but because the rest of the robots in that list simply weren't that bad. Plus, they had Hardman, but not Woodman. (Granted, Plantman was #1 on that list, but still.) Where's the logic in that?
That's a pretty reasonable list. There are two others I would have considered:
ReplyDeleteElecman - A design similar to that of Zero but minus all the lame character traits, hair and lightsaber. Plus he's still one of the hardest mothers in the series (especially without a weapon).
Heatman - His Atomic Fire weapon is the predecessor to the Mega Buster but dishes out several times the damage. His level tune is awesome and he's a giant cigarette lighter. Talk about politically incorrect!
Also, has anyone else ever noticed that once you beat Gravity Man's stage, you NEVER experience gravity inverting obstacles ever again? Not even in the MM V Wily Castle! It's the Kuribo's Shoe of the MegaMan Universe.
I thought that was a pretty fun watch just purely for entertainment reasons. I would never be able to make a list for robot masters.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I love what they did with Shadow Man! XD
ReplyDeleteThis was a pretty neat list. And Metal Man! Ya! He's cool, and his weapon is cool, but I mostly just really, REALLY love his theme!
And this video is further proof that Ryota Niitsuma is full of crap. Mega Man has SO MUCH potential for a good moveset in MvC3, but Niitsuma, for whatever reason, just doesn't want him in, and keeps making up easily debunkable (is that a real word?) excuses for excluding him. =/
The fact that no non 8-bit robot masters are there (specifically Freeze Man and Tengu Man) makes me a bit mad.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, seeing Shadow, Quick, and Skull Man on it makes me feel like this list is very Ariga-influenced, so that's a plus.
@Soultrigger:
ReplyDelete"The fact that no non 8-bit robot masters are there (specifically Freeze Man and Tengu Man) makes me a bit mad."
Me, too, actually. Then again, these people have probably jumped on the "Mega Man 7 and 8 are the worst games in the series" bandwagon like many others have, so I'm not too surprised.
@Professor Megaman

Ahhh you're right! They could have incorporated that in one of the stages which would have been cool. If I knew how to hack/do level edits, I would do that, but I don't :(
Sad that there was no love for the 16-bit and 32-bit Mega Man outings, but oh well. I pretty much agree with the list anyway. Would have been cool for Burner Man to be on there somewhere, but the wacky thing about opinions are that everyone can have one.
ReplyDeleteNobody from 7 or 8? I liked Slash Man...
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice, but yeah, it's a little surprising no 8, 9, and M&B bosses made it in. Freezeman, Slashman, Tenguman, and Burnerman are all pretty stereotypically cool designs.
ReplyDeleteHeh, got both of my favorites on that list (Shadow Man and Quick Man)
ReplyDeleteTenguman, Shademan, and Slashman.. no where to be found. :|
ReplyDeleteGyro Man is my biggest favorite beside Shadow Man, so I'm a bit sad about not seeing him there.
ReplyDeleteAlso Wave Man is one of the more memorable ones for having the first jet bike segment in the franchise.
*TWITCH*
ReplyDeleteNO. AIRMAN.
...BLASPHEMY!!!
Metal Man is my favorite definetly but Burner Man and Freeze Man are definetly up there as well. I must agree; What's up with everyone ignoring 7, 8 and MM&B?
