There's a lot of decent themes, but personally, the only tracks that stuck with me were the title screen jingle and Wily Stage… except that I can't actually remember the latter. I just remember liking it. As for the former? I remember the NES-style arrangement someone made of that theme more than the original theme, itself. I legitimately don't remember any other track in the slightest… not even Fuseman's theme, which was the "promotional" theme* of the game, like with Nitroman from 10 and Tornadoman from 9. That, combined with the fact that the instrumentation of every song is, basically, exactly the same (not even "nostalgia for the NES/Famicom" can excuse that one) makes me wonder just how the game's soundtrack managed to win any awards. This all feels a bit like American Idol… but in Japan.

Sidenote: so many Capcom soundtracks, wow!

* The "Extra Stage" theme was also used in the Launch Trailer, but that came later.Jo Li KMChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06463040155653479273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4080026879350344019.post-35737975931890075972019-12-09T08:31:42.851-06:002019-12-09T08:31:42.851-06:00I disagree, X7's soundtrack is nearly entirely...I disagree, X7's soundtrack is nearly entirely good imo, I like all the music, maybe Snipe Anteator's track needs to step it up a bit but overall I think it was a great ost. What are you people on?

I really hate the fact that Marika co-produced MMSF2 tracks under the helm of Yoshino Aoki, now people actually think she was responsible for the grand bulk of MMSF's sound direction to the point where you have people actually saying MM11 of all things sounds like MMSF just because that was her only past credential (yes I know you didn't say that but that's the only reason I can wrap my head around). Even though she had no compositions in 1 (nothing to do with it) and had absolutely nothing to do with 3 and even in 2 she barely did any tracks. Heck even the few tracks she did do in MMSF2 sound barely ANYTHING like MM11 tracks....

I'm sorry, I do not say this lightly or with any disrespect it's just the only way to describe my feelings on this situation, but anyone who thinks the general music direction of MM11 is akin to MMSF sounds fraudulent to me. I don't know what MM11 sounds like but it sure as heck isn't MMSF in general, not instrumentation, not composition, nothing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4080026879350344019.post-45816011331361927892019-12-05T20:45:08.074-06:002019-12-05T20:45:08.074-06:00Yeah, it's like something straight out of a St...Yeah, it's like something straight out of a Star Force sequel.

Mega Man? The thing that often seems to go unnoticed among fans is that the problem isn't necessarily in the compositions themselves, but rather the instruments used. In Youtube, there are A LOT of 8-bit remixes of MM11's songs and some of them are -insanely- Mega Man-esque.

Now I'm not saying MM11's soundtrack should've been 8-bit. Rather, the developers should have taken a bit more time to make sure the songs stood out more and felt more at home in the Mega Man classic series. It's as simple as that.Azdrerioshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18152693229696343402noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4080026879350344019.post-38274379081379455492019-12-05T19:45:03.841-06:002019-12-05T19:45:03.841-06:00I'm just trying to figure out what "Legen...I'm just trying to figure out what "Legend Sound Award" means?
