First Look at "Make Rockman" - Learn to Program Your Own Rockman Games!

Via Artec's Twitter account, we have our first look at the "Rockman x Programming" project, which is officially titled "Make Rockman: The World's Greatest Programming". All the details after the break!

Make Rockman lets you control Rockman with a controller that you assemble! The package includes software that teaches basic programing and a beginner's guidebook by educational company Gakken to show you how to code your very own video games.

Make Rockman will be available to pre-order next Monday at 11:00 JST on the Japanese-based crowdfunding website Makuake. It is currently exclusive to Japan.

Here are two sample pages from the guidebook, featuring an example of the programming logic:

Make Rockman uses "Scratch", a block-based visual programming language and an ArtecRobo 2.0 kit for the controller which you can see below.

That's all the info for now ! Come back Monday, September 7th for the final details!

  4. That is so awesome. I wonder if you can reconfigure the controller, it seems like it's meant to be modular, like Legos
