Mega Man "Grandista" Figure Coming Soon From Bandai

Via a leaked listing on HPoi, it looks like we're getting a brand-new, Mega Man 11-style Mega Man figure from Bandai this winter. This non-articulated, ABS figure from Bandai's "Grandista" line is reportedly slated to launch in January 2020. An official price tag is unavailable at this time, however, based on past Grandista products, it could cost anywhere from $19.99 to $79.99.

We'll have more news on this front soon! Stay tuned!

  1. not 100% sold on the face, but not completely unsold either. Definitely interested.

    1. It is better than that upcoming F4F mm11 face

    2. I actually think F4F finally got the face right with the MM11 figure. It's just that his look in 11 is different to begin with.

    3. That's true, First 4 Figures is TERRRIBLE at Mega Man stuff lol be it the faces or X's weird pose, or Zero's weird limbs. They just can't get it right. I remember even the Protoman I bought which actually looked rather decent had horrible paint job and ended up getting rid of that one, that one only turned out ok because Protoman has half his face covered. haha

    4. You need to check it out again with color because it looked like a kid who got punished face.

  2. Wow, that figure looks amazing. Proportions and silhouette are nice, and for me, the face is very well done. It has the anime style vibe while evoking a sense of realism with the blush tones.

  3. Come to think of it, I think that looks like what he might, or SHOULD look like if he's to ever be in an animated feature film. Whoever wants to do it should use this as reference and take some notes.

  4. Everything seems great except his face looks like Thomas the Tank Engine. They can never get the face right in the figures for some reason.

  5. Is this like a trend or something with Megaman figures? They generally get everything right EXCEPT the face. Maybe I'm just being nitpicky.

    1. that's because the face is the hardest thing to make. the body is easy to do, especially with a character with a rather simple body design like Megaman. but miss one little detail on a face, and it end up in the uncanny valley, or at best, just too diferent from the source material artstyle. here for exemple, the face is looking pretty good on it's own, but the mouth is shaped in a way that make it look just different enough from artworks that it bug us.

  6. This looks like a very classic 1960s-70s take on Mega Man.

  7. The face feels like an amalgamation of all the previous major face styles, looking closest to the PlayStation/Saturn era. Not great, but not bad, either. I'm sure it's hard to settle on a design that "will sell" when that's been a bit difficult for the franchise at times.

  8. Mouth is a little too high for me. If it was just a little lower, I'd say it'd look perfect!

  9. Does anyone know if the Sentinel line is dead or not? I'm getting worried. (Sorry to steal the shine from this figure but I would like to know.)

    1. Sentinel is releasing a "Ver. Ke" edition of the Falcon Armor from X5, and since that has not been released: the "line" is not dead.
