Rockman X DiVE Closed Beta Test Delayed Until September 12th Due Popularity

Early this morning the Rockman X DiVE development team shared a message via the Official Facebook Page to explain that the number of registrations for the Close Beta Test exceed their expectations and, because of that, some adjustments were necessary. A few hours later they shared a new message about when the CBT will actually start. More after the break!

ROCKMAN X DiVE - Signal from Deep Log
Thanks again for your support to CAPCOM.
The number of participants has gone beyond our expectation, henceforth, the adjustments
of the server and increase of contents will be implmented to the CBT event for more players to join.
We're sorry to modify the CBT date as follows
1. CBT date : from Sept. 12th (Thur.)10:00 to Sept. 16th (Mon.)10:00 (GMT+8)
2. CBT content: Add challenge mission system, increase weapon types

Another 5000 participants will be added to the CBT event. (System will be closed as soon as the number is reached)
Just hold the last chance to join the CBT event.
We're sincerely apologized for the inconvenienc of adjustments of the date(Sept.12),but we also
hope your paticipation will help us to perfect the ROCKMAN X DiVE in every possible way.

By the look of things, extending the registration window and removing the 30, 000 player cap caused a big wave of new registrations. That's something the development team weren't expecting or even ready to handle when the Close Beta was supposed to launch next week. To cope with this wave of unexpected registrations, the Close Beta Test is going to be delayed from September 6th to September 12th and the servers will be adjusted to handle the traffic.

The positive news about this debacle is the CBT will have an additional challenge mission system, new weapon types and they will allow more registrations, up to 5,000 players. If you didn't register previously, you can do it from here.

Furthermore, the development team has yet to communicate how the Closed Beta is going to be delivered to players who registered and what specs are necessary to run it on Android phones and tablets.

Stay tuned for more news as we approach the release of the Rockman X DiVE Closed Beta Test.

  1. >Delay is only 4 days
    >Adding content with it
    >Acknowledging the larger than expected number of people
I for one, consider this good news. It shows the adaptibility that's needed for games that have consistent updates before anything bad actually happens.

    1. The attention Megaman X deserves is a full high quality console game on Ps4, Xb1, Pc, Switch...

    2. Console games are good; but remember, not everyone plays "video" games. Making X mobile will broaden the scope of the series' popularity, because ultimately more people will become familiarized with the franchise due to the fact that people who are not video gamers yet play mobile games will see X Dive up there and become curious. X will no longer be pushed to the back burner, as I fear he has been recently by the popularity of other stupid games like Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy and Pokemon. X, Zero, Axl and all the rest will finally get their moment in the spotlight once again!! I'm so happy about it!! :D

    3. there will be a console game at some point, anon1. which make X dive's existence all the better. For the reason unknown cited. Especially is Asia where some mobile game get a absurdly high level of attention.
This way, when X come back on console, it will be with all the flare.

    4. Mega Man X is good and all, Unknown, but don't you fail to recognize good games and game series like The Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy. Those were around way before Mega Man X, and are much more important to the history of video games as a whole. You may not like them, but don't bring toxicity into discussions just because you don't like them. It is uncalled for.

    5. That may be true, @Anonymous 2, and I know that some of those games are in a way historical, and that there are plenty of folks out there who may like games like that; I mean no offense to them, but to me they pale terribly in comparison to something like not just Mega Man X, but any Mega Man game. Remember, the Blue Bomber himself is every bit as historical as Link or whoever is in Final Fantasy; and X may have come later, but still lives in the annals of gaming history as a true legend. And he WAS created before I was born. :) Don't take what I said earlier as an insult to people who like games like Zelda; it's just my opinion, and I happen to know someone who has a literal obsession with Zelda and is one of the worst, conniving liars I have ever seen. So all Zelda holds for me is bad memories. I'm sorry. God Bless! :)

  3. It's also good because this raises awareness of what interest in the game might be like. Sure, it being free registration helpes, but now they are certain that there is a good number of people willing to give their new game about Mega Man a go.

  4. Yeah, "debacle" is hardly the word I'd use in this situation. They're pretty clearly outlining the reason for the delay, and if anything, it looks like a positive outcome, not a negative one. I'm glad to see they're adding content and committed to making sure the game is up to snuff. I barely play any mobile games, but this is one I'm actually excited to play.

    1. Ditto! And I am, like, a super-big mobile gamer, so to me, having a Mega Man X platformer I can play anywhere and possibly in competition with other people is like a dream come true for me.

  5. I've tried to enter my email, yet I keep getting a message saying "my account is not gmail"... even though it very much is. Not only that, the website from that link has chrome telling me it's not secure. Has anyone else had this problem?

    1. Are you typing in your email or are you copy/pasting it? The later doesn't seem to work for many people. Try typing it next time
