Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection Off-Screen Gameplay, Menus and Screen Layouts

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection is out to play at Capcom's PAX booth this weekend. For everyone who can't make it out to the show, Rockman Labs has taken the liberty of shooting close to five minutes of footage from the demo. There's a lot of little things to see here so I've broken down the noteworthy bits after the break...

Rockman & Rockman X 5-In-1 Box Set Now Available to Pre-order

Both Amazon Japan and import specialty retailers Ami Ami and Nin Nin Game have begun accepting pre-orders for the Rockman & Rockman X 5-in-1 box set for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.

As discussed previously, this set contains five games: Rockman Classics 1, Rockman Classic Collection 2, Rockman X Anniversary Collection 1, Rockman X Anniversary Collection 2, and Rockman 11. The box set also comes with extra space to be filled by the Zero/ZX Legacy Collection, a bonus Rockman 11 script, an acrylic 30th anniversary print, and an exclusive package that will feature brand-new artwork by Ryuji Higurashi and Keiske Mizuno.

For Nintendo Switch owners and collector's of rare Mega Man/Rockman goods, you'll be pleased to know that the Switch version of Rockman Classic Collection 2 will, for the very first (and possibly only time), be printed on a physical cartridge. I suppose it goes without saying, but if you have even an inkling of an interest in owning that, you'll want to get your pre-order in ASAP.

And yes; Amazon Japan's listings say that they don't ship outside of Japan. That's not exactly true. They do ship outside Japan but that "warning" will be lifted closer to release. No worries. Also, I should mention that if you order from Amazon Japan, you'll get a digital wallpaper for your phone and PC!

The Rockman & Rockman X 5-in-1 box set ships December 19th, 2019.

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection at Tokyo Game Show 2019

We are two weeks away from this year's Tokyo Game Show and, as such, Capcom revealed their full plans for the show. As far as we are concerned, the big Mega Man attraction this year is the Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection that was officially announced some days ago.

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection Leaked; Due in January 2020

Uh, surprise! A listing for an unannounced Mega Man Zero and Mega Man ZX Legacy Collection has appeared on the PlayStation Store. The description reads:

"Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection brings together six classic titles in one game: Mega Man Zero 1, 2, 3, and 4, as well as Mega Man ZX and ZX Advent.

In addition to the original games, this package includes an artwork gallery, music player, special filters, and much more. Casual Scenario Mode and a Save-Assist feature are available for those who would like to enjoy the story at their own pace. Players can also try their hand at the new leaderboard-based Z Chaser Mode, an exclusive new mode created just for this set of games."

So yeah; this is happening. No official word from Capcom yet but this early listing could be an indicator that the game will be announced shortly.

More news soon! Thanks, Bam.

Mega Man: The Wily Wars Officially Licensed Repro-Cartridge Announced (Updated)

If Mega Man: The Wily Wars' representation in the upcoming Sega Geneis/Mega Drive Mini wasn't enough for ya, an officially-licensed reproduction cartridge by Retro-Bit Gaming was just announced on Twitter. 24-years later, this reproduction marks the very first time the game will be sold in the U.S on a legitimate Sega Gensis cartridge.

Retro-Bit writes:

"Only physically released in Japan and Europe, we are bringing #MegaMan Wily Wars to North America for both #Genesis & #MegaDrive -- Get ready for a collector's edition that includes many extras! 🌟More details on this release will come soon!#Gamescom2019 #retrogaming #Capcom"

And that's about all there is to share on this subject for now. I wonder what kind of extras will be included? The Mega Man, Elec Man and translucent Quick Man figures cut off in the image above are NEW, by the way. Perhaps they'll be included in the collector's package? We can only speculate. More updates on this front soon!

UPDATE: According to a blurb in Retro Bit's catalog at Gamescom, the cartridge is due out sometime in Q1 2020.

Mega Man 11 First 4 Figures Statues Revealed at Gamescom

It's been seven months since we last heard from First 4 Figures' Mega Man 11 statue. And today, we have our first actual look at the thing – err, make that things.

Not one but two sizes of the Mega Man 11 statue were on display at First 4 Figures' Gamescom booth. The smaller statue is made of PVC whereas the larger statue is made entirely of resin and features a few extra details. The former will no doubt be the lesser-expensive of the two; ideal for fans on a budget. The resin statue, if tradition holds true, could very well sport lighting effects.

At the moment there's no word of price, release date or availability. Those details should come to light in the coming months as production nears completion. We'll keep an ear to the ground.

Thanks for the pics, Jimb0!

Rockman X DiVE – Introducing Ferham

Correctly guessed by Protodude some days ago, finally the official introduction of Ferham is here via the Official Facebook Page. The small bio that accompanies the artwork reads:

Mega Man X DiVE Developer Diary - Character File - Ferham

She made her debut in "Mega X Man Command Mission" .
Her whip, while laser-like, has been revealed to be electromagnetic...

If you take a good look at her new artwork for Rockman X DiVE, you will notice she has long hair, something that wasn't present in her design for Command Mission. Perhaps it wasn't part of the original design or she had it under her helmet, is anyone's guess.

And that's all for today! The development team didn't share her 3D model like usually do with character introductions. Maybe another day!

Rockman X DiVE – New Screenshot Shows Alia in Action

Rumor: Rockman Ability Mobile Port in Development

An individual close to Capcom's arcade and amusement operations has told Rockman Corner that  Enterrise, Capcom affiliate and developers of Pachislot Rockman Ability, have tapped CommSeed Corporation to port the game to mobile phones (Android and iOS).

The port intends on attracting a new, larger audience among mobile phone users in Japan who haven't played Rockman Ability machines in person. Although anyone in the world will be able to download it from the App Store or Google Play Store, the game will only be supported in Japan. There are no plans for an English localization. A release window for the port is not available at this time.

News of a mobile Rockman Ability port shouldn't come as a huge surprise. Nearly every Capcom-based pachislot machine developed by Enterrise has, at one time or another, been ported to mobile phones courtesy of CommSeed. These include Pachislot Resident Evil 6 and Pachislot Devil May Cry 4, among other titles.

Originally distributed to select venues throughout Japan in 2018, Rockman Ability is a Rockman-themed pachislot game featuring original characters and an original scenario. It is wholly separate from any previous Rockman series but takes some inspiration from the classic series. You can learn more about Rockman Ability here, here and here.

Introducing Rockman X DiVE's New Operator: RiCO

Ever since the Rockman X DiVE Official website opened, a new Operator-like character has been teased by Capcom Taiwan. And finally, we have our first look at her via an early press release sent to Taiwanese media outlets and later an update on both the Facebook Official Page and the game's Official website.

Her name is RiCO and will be voiced by Reina Ueda. She will be responsible for assisting the players and her personality is described as cheerful and lively.

So what do you think? Let us know in the comments!

Rockman X DiVE – Chip System and PvP Mode Announced!

Command Mission's Ferham Teased for Rockman X Dive

Rockman X Dive's love affair with Command Mission continues with the possible return of a fan-favorite adversary.

The above image was posted to the game's official Facebook today. It features a silhouette of an unannounced character overlooking the main playable cast that, when zoomed in, looks pretty darn familiar. The sharp, pointed edges of a harrier. The "winged" head crest. Yeah; she's back.

Now, there's absolutely no official confirmation that Ferham will be a playable character. But like I said above, she is pictured alongside characters that are confirmed to be playable (Cinnamon has yet to be officially announced but I know for certain she's in). Also (and I might have said this already) but Capcom Taiwan very much intend on filling Rockman X Dive with a variety of playable characters over time. It won't just be X series characters they'll add, too. You can expect to see other "Mega Men" too... eventually.

More news on Rockman X Dive soon!

Rockman X DiVE – Co-Op Mode Announced!

Via Capcom's Taiwan YouTube Channel, the first Rockman X DiVE update for the week is none other than a trailer to announce the inclusion of Co-op gameplay in the game. Rockman X Dive is now the first official Mega Man game to offer traditional, same-screen co-op mutliplayer.

In the video, we can see Vile using the Rifle we saw in another video some days ago and perhaps more interestingly we can see a microphone button in the upper right corner of the screen, which suggests we might be able to chat with our Co-op partner. Also, below Vile's player icon, we can see some kind of score meter that, curiously, doesn't go up when Vile kills enemies. Perhaps it has another function?

As for the stage itself... it looks like an homage to Aeolus' stage, the Floating Ruins from Mega Man ZX Advent. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.

The Mega Man Live-Action Movie is Probably Shelved

Back in October 2018, Capcom announced a live-action movie revolving around the Blue Bomber tentatively titled "Mega Man". It was intended to be produced by Masi Oka and written and directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, respectively. Since then, no major updates on the flick had emerged until this past Tuesday.

Following Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox, news recently surfaced from Variety that Disney would be making some big changes, including a major refocus of Fox's movie projections and a complete overhaul of their upcoming projects. Only a few of the projects projected over the next five years remain: remakes of Home Alone, Night at the Museum, Cheaper by the Dozen, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and a slate of unannounced superhero projects. Of the 250 projected films removed from the road map, Mega Man was included.

It is important to note, while it looks as if the Mega Man movie was shelved, it is potentially possible for another studio to pick up the project. Disney has no legal ownership of the movie's theatrical rights, mind you. Capcom and the creative team behind the project could be shopping it around as we speak.

Should more news surface in the future, we'll be sure to let everyone know!

Kotobukiya Mega Man X "Max Armor" and "Hyper Armor" Now Available to Pre-Order

Not only is the Mega Man X3 Max Armor kit now available to pre-order globally from Big Bad Toystore, but it looks like the Hyper Armor kit has escaped the confines of being a "Kotobukiya Japan Store" exclusive, too. The armor, in all its golden glory, is available to pre-order from Big Bad Toystore too. Grab 'em here:

Mega Man X Max Armor – $69.99 (January 2020)

The kit includes "a range of parts including the X-Buster, interchangeable hand and face parts and a Z Saber". BBTS' description says the Milight 316 (lithium-ion battery with an LED attached) for use with the Z-Saber will be included. However, this might be a mistake. Kotobukiya have gone on record to say it will be sold seperately. So unless something has changed for the US version... I don't know. I'll reach out to BBTS for comment.

Mega Man X Hyper Armor (Limited Edtion) – $69.99 (January 2020)

Includes X-Buster, Z-Saber, interchangeable hand and face parts, and an exclusive Cross Charge Shot effect part. No mention of Milight 316, though. I guess it might not be included with the Hyper Armor?

If you're new to building Mega Man Kotobukiya model kits, you'll be pleased to know that these come pre-painted. However, much like Gunpla and other kits, additional painting, paneling and other forms of customization are encouraged. Be sure to grab yourself some nippers, too. You're gonna need them!
