Watch Rockman EXE: Phantom of Network From Start to Finish

Courtesy of Megacocorock, Rockman EXE: Phantom of Network has been uploaded to YouTube in its entirety. This is our best and most complete look at the game, which is no longer available in any form. The footage is in Japanese, though you can find a summation of the game's events here.

A spin-off from the EXE series, Phantom of Network was originally released in 2005 for mobile phones across eight chapters. The game features a unique scenario and new characters not seen in the GBA titles. The game was succeeded by Rockman EXE: Legend of Network in 2006. Footage from that game is few and far between, sadly. I'm hopeful Megacocorock pulls through on that front; he's quite resourceful.

Thanks for the heads up, Eric!

  1. Seriously, Capcom, make full 2D remakes of this and Legend of Network.

Ah, who am I kidding; it's Capcom; they're as bad as Konami.

    1. I dunno Konami has done some awful shit, but at least they made a new Bomberman game for fans no questions asked, Sure they rushed it out for Switch Launch, but they started patching things very quickly, and now the game works and plays how it should, It's like a completely different game than the one we got at launch, On top of that they have and are still updating the game with free content, and new features.

Literally turned a launch day disappointment into an essential multiplayer title for the system, I've been having so much fun with Super Bomberman R, it's one of my favorite titles this year, and it's working its way into being one of Bomberman's best games, it's definitely in my top 10.

When I think about how Konami just took a chance and made a brand new Bomberman, and then think about how Capcom decided to test the waters for a more popular franchise for the 2nd time, It starts to make me prefer the former.

  4. In the old days extracting sprites used to be done by creating tons and tons of screenshots while playing through the game normally and then painstakingly erasing the backgrounds.

If a video of the gameplay can be recorded ...

(I'm pretty hype as I've seen footage of Phantom of Network before, but Legend of Network footage didn't really exist except in the most obscure corners of the net that I can't even find, last time I checked.)

    1. I know this was a while ago, but if you still have the video, I'd love to see it. I'd like to take a shot at recreating the sprites.
