'Ultron Sigma' Revealed for Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite and More!

Capcom just confirmed a palpable Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite fan-theory: the big baddie is indeed a fusion between Sigma and Ultron – Ultron Sigma. But, wait! There's more...

Yep; Sigma, himself, is a fully-playable character. He's included in the 2017 Character Pass, which provides access to six post-launch characters. The pass will be bundled with the Deluxe Edition of the game ($89.99). What's more, the Deluxe Edition comes packed with a Command Mission X alt costume.

... and the Collector's Edition ($199.99) comes includes all the Deluxe Edition content PLUS an interlinking Mega Man X diorama, among other goodies!

Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite launches on September 19th, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.  Head to Capom Unity for a complete rundown on each version of the game.

  1. I know I should be excited about Sigma and X alt but MY BOY STRIDER IS IN.

  2. Ooo CM alt. That's a nice reference. Now give us Command Mission 2! :P

  3. I haven't been to this site in years but had to come here to revel in this for a bit. Megaman X being included in MvC was one thing, that was enough to make me satisfied...but Sigma is also in it, and he's a major part of the plot? I thought surely the older games would never be acknowledged again and then this is revealed. It's exhilarating.

It seems ridiculous to start expecting Zero as well but I can't help but wonder if he'll be in the game.

    1. Yeah as DLC seeing as how this game seems to be headed down that seasonal DLC BS and how popular Zero as a character was and how much he got played in MvC3/UMvC3.

    2. I'd prefer he didn't get a chance to upstage X--I think they might be setting up for that somehow--but then again it'd be cool to tag team versus Sigma (and Vile) with X and a cleaned up Zero. Would certainly bring more of the MvC3 crowd.

    3. Holy crap. I'd take Vile over Zero any day! Zero's been playable in so many games already!

    4. since they're really pushing up MegaMan X for this game, there's a chance for dlc. But the chances for Vile are still very little.

    5. Vile would be redundant, give me a close range combo monster. It doesn't have to be Zero (although I don't mind that) but anything is fine, Duo! Yeah he still alive out there in space right?

His story would be he ran into a void that took him to the Ultron:Sigma verse.

    6. They have so many options from the Mega Man X series alone for close combat combo characters other than Zero. I would like to see a character that we haven't seen in a while like Agile, Bit, Colonel, Double or Dynamo, and that's only the first 5 games, and not even any of the initial 8 Mavericks. We know we're getting Sigma as one of the first 6 DLC. Magma Dragoon would be hilarious because he's a shoto. Neon Tiger could play similarly to Wolverine.

    7. I'd love to see Vile. I don't see how you can say Vile would be redundant, as if he'd just be a purple X which is a nonsensical assumption based off of... well nothing.

      Delete
    8. Now that you say it, Magma Dragoon in a game where Street Fighter characters are present would be fun. don't think it will happen, though.

    9. Having Sigma's closing thing to a number 1 lackey would be nice, honestly, Vile has made a few cameos in vs games, more so then Sigma. Also we have the fact that Vile had a very big arsenal in the one game he was playable in 45 weapons + all moves he has as a boss in the games, they have a lot to work with if they made him playable. He'd fit more then Zero simply on the fact they seem to be running with X1 X (due to his armor power up) and Sigma.

    10. He doesn't have to be a purple X to be redundant, if Protoman were in the game he'd also be redundant even tho he'd probably be different to X he'd still overall be the same design concept gamplay wise a zoning projectile character with strong defensive options, and if he wasn't designed like that that would simply be Protoman in name and maybe looks only.

Despite what people think there is diversity enough in Mega Man to have 4 or five gust characters that are not the same archetypes.

Personally I love the Colonal, JellyMan, Dynamo, (replace Neon Tiger for) Slash Beast (or Jango) and Magma Dragoon suggestions I'd also add Red from X7 for some teleporting mix-ups and decent reaching scythe hit-confirms to some neat juggles.

Emm.... Maybe General to counter the Big guy robot like the sentinel or what have you, Botos would be like a trap character with satellite set-ups similarly to Modok... and Byte, Violen or Massimo for a big body grappler.

Dang I kinda just want a Mega Man Fighting game.

    1. Yeah his Ultron-Sigma form is a little iffy to me. Otherwise I'm pretty happy Sigma's in it. :>

  5. You know I hope it's really satisfying to beat the story mode as X, because he's doing nothing but getting his ass kicked in these trailers.

Maybe they'll let him be badass when he gets a voice.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yes, i think they just would'nt show him using his special move without the voice.
Considering the big bad and the fact that thay stated that X would be a important part of the plot, he'll surely get the ocasion to shine.
I'll also point out that the trailer mostly showed him in base form. and base form X not being on par with other oponent, while he will kick their ass once upgraded is quite normal. Just ask Vile.

      Delete
    2. Makes sense. I just wish they'd let base form X be as badass as Mega Man in Smash, for example.

    3. Base form X from Project X Zone and its sequel say hello when it comes to badass.

    4. Better than nothing

  6. Ultron-Σ! The final boss! And I want Command Mission X!!!!

  7. Seems they're trying to cash in pretty hard on Mega Man this time around.

Really makes it all the more strange he was left out of 3.

  8. I know this is usual for Sigma to have a face on his body, but this new body kinda make me think of Guren Lagann Stuff.

  9. Don't know why one half of the main villain is DLC, but heck, I'll take it.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. well because he can't be in the main game as himself since he is merged with ultron in it.
or maybe you where asking how he can be in the DLC?

      Delete
    2. Ultron is in the game by default despite being merged with Sigma.

But if you want Sigma you gotta pay extra.

      Delete
  10. I wonder if it will be Ultron overrun by the Sigma Virus, or a consonsual fusion of the two, or something else.

    1. nah, they pretty much seem to agree to work together because they share similar viewpoint.

  11. That's GREAT !
now, please, realise my dream of a "Iron-man Armor X".

    1. Yes. New cool crossover looks for X please. Maybe cover his face with a cool mask or faceplate too.

Throw in a Zero armor for good measure too.

  12. Boo. I was hoping it would be Astaroth. Ultron Sigma just kind of looks... silly. But at least the story makes sense.

Sigma I as a playable character could be interesting. I get the feeling he might just play like a slower, heavier-hitting version of Zero, though. I guess we'll see.

Also. Rocket, no. Rocket, why. Bad Rocket, bad.

    1. That part with Rocket was the best part.

  13. Of all the awesome X armors, they chose Command Missions... C'moooooooooooon. Still, don't care, X, sigma, will buy deluxe!!!! (and probably sell the other figures, I only collect X's shit).

    1. X needs a new look. CM was a good attempt, but not great, not unlike the game itself.

      Delete
    2. Command mission is only the DLC alt costume. others armor might be in the game.

      Delete
    3. It's his face. Ever since the first gameplay trailer his face just looked wrong, and it hasn't changed.

      Delete
  14. Why didn't they just call him Sigtron? D:

    1. Because that just sounds silly. :P

    2. I think Ulgma or Ultma would be better. XP

  15. I think they did good in merging ultron's and sigma's design.

  16. yawn.idk about the marvel vs cap stuff

  17. I watched the trailer again and noticed that, before you see X under Ultron Sigma's heel, that's him rocketing down like he's doing a Nova Strike. That was pretty awesome, but blink and you'll miss it. Iron Man didn't fare any better.

  18. No Switch version? No sale.
Kiss the darkest part of my ass, Capcom!

  19. All of these megaman thing as of late have made me think they have something planned that is huge for the franchise like megaman x 9 on the switch or legends 3 on the switch. Man i hope something like that happens to the franchise we are in dire need of something megaman like gunvolt.

come on capcom show some love for the character you are so well known for

  20. i notice little spaces in Ultron-Sigma head for the other infinity gem.

  21. OH MAI GOD! I can't even... I'm speechless... The HYPE is REAL!!! SO FREAKING REAL! After all these years, I think it's pretty much confirmed that Sigma is the most iconic supervillains and MegaMan X is the most iconic superhero in MegaMan history. Out of all the villains, they chose Sigma. Goddammit I can't wait! Hopefully Ultron Sigma could transform into his 2nd huge form as the true final boss of the game! Also, is it a hint that MegaMan X Command Mission finally get a Remake flavor? Or is it a hint that CAPCOM secretly working on a new MegaMan game for the next-gen consoles?

  22. To answer Rocket's question, i think the bigger thing he killed was X5 giant sigma

    ReplyDelete
  23. Why does X's face look so off? It isn't just the graphic art style people are complaining about, it's the way the faces and body proportions are modeled. It's weird, especially X and Chun Li.

I'm confident it'll all look better in motion, but for now it looks unimpressive to bad.

    1. i think that's because the semi-realistic artsyle they're goind with in this game does'nt go that well with X. another king of semi-realistic would have done, tough. they probably choosed that one to give it a MCU feel.
i might be wrong on it, though.

  24. If it leads to things like this, I think I can be ok with periodical DLC.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I can't seem to find the collector's edition pre-order link anywhere except a site in Canada that is selling it WITHOUT the game and only ships to Canada.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I just can't get excited for this kind of stuff anymore.

All I want is this kind of effort and detail to go into a proper Mega man game, not a cameo...

I'm still not gonna buy another Capcom game until they released an actual Mega Man game, and not just cheap cash ins and merchandise

  27. X got nailed in a trailer once again. Good going, Capcom *sighs*

The first trailer should have made Ryu getting pummeled then X does a "dues X machina".
