  1. Whelp, my hopes have actually appeared. I had no hope when the character design was first shown, but this doesn't look too bad.

Here's hoping the voice acting will be goos.

  2. This cartoon has seen a lot of negativity but I hope it is successful. I think more Mega Man is better than no Mega Man. Could spark some new titles out of Capcom as well. Maybe even those sequel we all clamor for.

  3. It's not as bad in these little clips as that initial art. That said, it doesn't look particularly great.

But hey, could be worse. Hopefully the writing is decent.

  4. Sorry, I'm gonna have to disagree. I think the animation looks horrendous.

    1. It really does! Very cheap looking!

    2. Agreed. Not only is it not the Mega Man we all grew up with... why do they think this design will appeal to 9-year olds more? I mean, why even go with this horrendously ugly, Westernized look? Does the popularity of anime like Pokemon and Yokai Watch mean nothing to them?

    3. Stop crying like a baby This style looks cool

  5. That didn't look so bad, Hopefully it's a nice cartoon.

  6. Well i can recognize robot masters and as much i love exe i couldn't recognize all of them in that series so there's a point for it there. But, we'll see.

  7. While it doesn't look as bad in movement, the animation quality doesn't seem that good. I also think the robot design is not uniform/matched. Megaman's design is very different from the original, cyber and futuristic, yet Drill and Fire's design is more plain and close to their original. I can't help but compare with BN.

  8. You know, I wish I were excited about this cartoon, but something is just not clicking for me. (And that comes from someone who was at least mildly OK with the Ruby Spears cartoons...) Maybe seeing some more footage in future press releases will change my mind.

  9. Indeed, i was a bit scared if it looks too much like some actual cartoon or if they remake it like a big off topic who have nothing to do with megaman.
The design have their own style but it's not that bad, we will see ! ^^

  10. It's still being made by the people who 're making the new Ben10 and that's completely horrible.

Not expecting an iota of quality from this.

  11. It just looks like a spin-off. It's not bad just not reboot to Mega Man Classic not bad.

  12. Why does he look like he is living in Brooklyn?

  13. Looks OK so far. I almost thought the thing got cancelled. I hope the pilot drops soon. If we get the show before August (hopefully May or earlier), consider me a happy fangirl.

In addition, I hope that, of course, we'll get a new game and that we'll get some nice merch.

  14. Hmmmm. Some aspects of the design are okay. Still don't like his head. There are so many fan artists online that I would have put in charge of the design before whoever made this.

That said, I'm less hopeless. We'll see how it goes. Thinking positive.

  15. And I was having such a nice day, too.

  16. Out of curiosity, as I have no cable T.V., is there a way to *legally* watch new episodes online?

    1. No word about availability outside Disney XD. Sorry.

  17. Nope. I still don't like Mega Man's design. I'm also not digging Drill Man's design. Fire Man's okay, I guess.

  18. Could be better, could be worse. Let's keep it at that

  19. Ugh! The art look cheap and its horrible. MegaMan is smaller than FireMan ? Nonsense. It is so tron style and so americanize style too. Nah!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well it still looks less than fantastic , but fireman and drillman were recognizable. We shall see if it holds up. I think we all need to realize that I don't think they are aiming for the adults who grew up with this franchise, they are aiming for the 7 to 10 year olds who don't have a clue. Not that I like that angle but that's prob the case.

    1. I mean, in their press release earlier they said they were targeting both the 6 to 9 age demographic as well as long time fans of the series.

We'll see how that turns out.

  21. Am I allowed to say I like it?
The animation looks just fine enough for me.

    1. Same, I am sure story is simplistic, but always up for more Megaman merchandise and hopefully some Robot masters are in this line.

  22. Yeah, No not feeling it at all.

Looks like a cheap animation done for the sake of just putting out something. Megaman doesn't deserve this crappy looking form. they should have gone with the tried and proven correct style that Irregular hunter X used for th eOVa to the psp game. Now that a great animation style that has held up all these years regardless.

This just looks bland and lifeless and just bad. They had one job and that was to make it look good and presentable but instead they have gone back 10 steps.

Sigh my hope for the franchise having a new flame under it to bring it back has lost its flare from just looking at this. If the voice acting is terrible as this looks then it'll be like the old Megaman show from yesteryear cheesy and just meh.

I hope the voice acting makes this bearable to watch because as of now this won't garner my interest at all.

Shame they had a simple job to do and messed it up

    1. Day of Sigma's a poor example, since it never grew into a TV show. You're better off referencing Battle Network or the Ruby-Spears Mega Man.

It's too bad they never went with the original pitch for that show, but at least it went hand-in-hand with the American Super Mario Bros. Super Show and Legend of Zelda cartoons.

    2. Yeah sorry but you get what i mean.

they just usually never do megaman right with the tv shows Network was one that did it right

    3. Actually, Day of Sigma is better than this one!

    2. Tu estás defendiendo basura norteamericana no hecha por los creadores. TU si eres de lo peor. NO IMPORTA si la serie salió o no, la idea en si es muy mala. Fin de la discusión

  25. "This video is private."

Dagnabbit. I got all excited by the still-frame 'cause honestly, it looks pretty neat.

  26. I think i'll go back to my Ruby Spears DVD set and rewatch it with a renewed appreciation...

  27. Internet does not forget. Also, it doesn't look that bad.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Wait.. if the reason for taking it down is the same as for what I see as the excuse on nintendolife... do they really not realize that copyright doesn't work like that? The video I can understand if it was reuploaded and not the original source, but there should be nothing they can do about screenshots.

  29. I loved what minimal stuff I've seen of it, so I'm totally behind it, I watched Ben 10 back in the day and I think we should give this a chance.

    1. You'll be watching Ben 10 again too since this is pretty much Ben 10 kinda sorta barely reskinned and relabeled.

  30. I hope all these commenters saying "it's really not that bad" know that the people behind in the show are likely reading their comments and taking them as an indication that this is the right direction to take Mega Man. And it's not. It's obviously not.

  31. I know this is hugely old, but it also is a part of the history of this cartoon. Can somebody PLEASE post a link to the video? I'm sure SOMEBODY has a ripped copy of this video, that the ripped from here using video ripping tools, before it got deleted from here. If you are aware of ANY other place I can find this video, please reply to my request.
