'Forte Cross Rockman' is in the Virtual Console Version of EXE 5

Once thought to be lost to the times, the Forte Cross transformations are actually obtainable in both Virtual Console versions of Rockman EXE 5 on Wii U. The gold (Team Blues) and silver (Team Colonel) forms can be unlocked simply by going to the in-game Communication menu and saving your game. The process also unlocks the ForteXX sidequest.

For the uninitiated, Forte Cross Rockman was a powerful form acquired through the Game Boy Advance e-Reader. Players could legitimately obtain it through a promotional e-Card distributed during the Rockman.EXE movie. In North America and Europe, the forms could be obtained through the use of cheat devices (Action Replay or GameShark).

Because data for Forte Cross Rockman and BassXX exist in the international versions, it's quite possible these extras will be made available when Battle Network 5 arrives on the Virtual Console internationally. We'll be sure to keep an ear out!

  1. I wonder if they would patch FCRockman on to 6, even if there's no sprite change and side scenario for it. ForteXX only gets turned on because there's a Modification Card in effect.

The VC GBA release still lacks LeadersRaid L and LordOfChaos X because the Card e-Reader+ has to fill in data on the save file for the chips because they're blank, which isn't as easy as turning on a few values here or there in-game. EXE4 VC is like this, and I'm sure EXE6 will lack those too.

Besides missing Netbattling features with another player. You can't utilize Crossover Battle, Operation Battle Mode, Team Navi changing, and other Modification Cards like you could on EXE5 GBA.

    2. Hi Nigoli, I saw your site a long time ago but forgot to ask you something. Is the "Konro Man's diary" is really part of Rockman & Forte WS game manual?

And it would be helpful if you can translate the diary (or anyone else here).

    1. Same here. I miss everything about it except the childish kinda bad stoy telling. Other than that the art, music and gameplay are great and I really would like that back.

    2. The story in 5 and 6 are stronger in that regard, in that they look into more interesting topics and present it in interesting ways. They're obviously still written for kids, but they don't fall into the same trappings that befell 1-3. And naturally, anything beats 4's non-story.
