Kidrobot Mega Man Figures Are Now Available

Earlier this month Kidrobot brought a pair of exclusive Mega Man figures to Comic-Con. Today, the line officially launches with Mega Man and Proto Man.

The 7-inch figures will run you $49.99 a pop directly from Kidrobot. Shipping is free within North America if you buy them together. You can find these guys in select stores next month too if you don't feel like waiting for the mailman.

  1. It's awkwardly snarly Megaman and Protoman with a weird nose! Got to say that the mini key chain ones in development look a lot nicer than these

  2. Heh Heh they look like they are posing for a rap album cover or something.

  3. Fifty dollars?! For THOSE simple, ugly abominations?!

    This whacked out world...

  4. Cool idea but I really don't like how they look. Mega Man in particular.. I'll pass Kidrobot.

  5. $50.....really? I know Megaman fans are constantly overcharged, but that's absolutely ridiculous. I could buy a First4Figures statue for about $200, so 4 of these figures. Not happening.

    1. $50 is standard for most Kidrobot 7" figures, so this isn't specifically Mega Man fan gouging.
Those First4Figures statues are pretty homely...

    2. After having recently received the running Mega Man, I can safely say that the statues look better in person (I also have their Vyse statue which is incredible.) They're also very sturdy. F4F's price tags are very high, but when you see the hand crafted, meticulous effort that goes into their products, the price becomes justified.

  6. I still really don't like their faces. I don't know what people mean when they say these are decent. I wouldn't be caught dead buying a Mega Man figurine with that sort of face.

  7. Lol,fat face Protoman and Mega Man with his "I just watched the 2 girls 1 cup video" face. No thanks Kidrobot. Put out a better product if you want my money.

  8. What's with the upside down shield?

    1. That's how a shield of that size is really held: the top would be parallel to the ground if the arm of the person holding it were extended. The shield is raised by bending at the elbow, and bracing it with the forearm, with the fist facing upwards.

  9. These things are hideous. They should pay us $50 to take one from them.

  10. Far be it for me to turn down a Megaman figure, but these stubby, 7-inch things are $50.
That's way too much considering you can get much, MUCH nicer Megaman figures from Japan for just as much if not slightly more.
I'm going to have to pass unless somebody offers some kind of deal on these.

  11. Kidrobot does "designer vinyl" figures; hence the $50 price tag. If you've seen their Simpsons/Futurama/Family Guy line, then you'd understand. The look of these Mega Man figures are pretty much in line with the rest of Kidrobot's series. Also, last time I checked, Canada is part of North America. Shipping to Canada is NOT free. :)

    1. So you're saying the rest of the series also looks like it was designed by a blind no-taste insane-o? And that makes these worth $50 somehow?

    2. No, what's being stated is that the Kidrobot brand is build upon a particular aesthetic, and that this is an artistic rendition of a classic franchise through the lens of that aesthetic.

Wow, that comment.... If you don't dig the style, that's fine, but seriously?

I'll admit, these 7" figures are not something I am dying to have and the price tag is a bit steep, but I think the miniatures and keychains that'll be released later look fantastic. I can't wait for those.
