Mega Man & Bass (GBA) Now Available on Wii U

Last month you voted on which GBA Mega Man game would kick off Mega May 2015. The result is Mega Man & Bass on the Wii U Virtual Console. It's available now for $7.99.

Next week is Mega Man Battle Network 3 White and Blue. You can see the full release schedule at Nintendo's Mega May hub.

  1. Seriously? I thought Megaman Battle Network 3 would come out on top.. but this... this game is what I thought would be the last to come out. I've always found Megaman & Bass to be THE most difficult Megaman game, at least on the GBA. People must be gluttons for punishment...

    1. What's wrong with a little challenge? Besides, it's not like there aren't ways around the difficulty. The fact that the weapons are awesome and you have a handful of upgrades to help you make tackling the game more fun.

    2. Difficulty won't be much of a thing for people using the WiiU version since it'll have save states... Not like us oldies who suffered through the King 2 stage without them back in the day.

  2. Yay! I voted it too.. but I prefer this game for SFC/SNES with possibly faithful translation. Oh well.

  3. I got the cartridge back in 2012 because I loved the game when I played the Super Famicom rom but yeah, the game is pretty hard. I beat it with Megaman already but not with Bass tho.

  4. I finished both Rockman and Forte characters on SFC a long time ago. Easy but some CDs can be difficult to find.

    1. The SFC version is definitely better. One thing about the GBA version is the screen is too zoomed in so you don't see nearly as much of the playfield as you do on the SFC version which can be frustrating, especially in some of the tougher parts of the game.

    2. +1 to that. I had the SFC cart and picked up the gba version when it came out years later. It's frustrating to play with the zoomed in screen and the sound quality is so much lower. It's a shame they didn't port the original version.

  6. I'd be happier if this were coming out on the 3DS or even the New 3DS... but at least it's making an appearance on something! Hasn't been seen since 2002/2003, after all. And honestly, this is one of my favorite games in the series and could definitely use more exposure.
