Rockman Sneakers Are Now a Thing

And they're official, too. UBIQ footwear and apparel are partnering with Capcom to produce a snazzy pair of Rockman-themed sneakers. It's decked out with sprites, blue laces and a nice big 'ol E-Tank on the tongue.

The shoes are tentatively schedule for a June release for 9,800 Yen (roughly $82.54). Pre-orders go live next week on February 20th (currently exclusive to Japan). More images available at Rockman Unity.

  1. Oh... wow. They look nice, but I'd never wear them! I'm afraid I'd get them dirty.

    1. My thoughts exactly.
Not that I could wear them anyway. I can't imagine a Japanese-exclusive sneaker that would fit my size 13 1/2 foot. Hell! I can hardly find shoes in my size in America!

  2. How about someone partners with Capcom to make a damn Megaman game? I don't know how much longer I can wait.

We're overdue for a Megaman fighting game. (And no, Power Battle/Fighters doesn't count. *rolls eyes*)

Capcom: Well nobody came to us with the offer, so we're off the hook.

Anon: You know you don't have to wait for someone to make you an offer, you can go out and initiate a partnership. Kinda like what you did with Street Fighter IV and so many other projects.

Capcom: (gumble noises) That sounds like a lot of work....

Anon: Just make the damn game CAPCOM, S**T!

Capcom: Alright if that's how you're gonna be, I'm leaving (grabs MM themed keys, puts on MM themed coat and hat, walks away with MM themed sneakers into a MM themed car).

  3. Literally anything they can slap the character on they will sell (except a game cover of course). It's impressive the merchandise sells so well that it keeps coming despite the series not really existing beyond that anymore.

I'd like to see how much fans have spent on merchandise over the past five years. I bet there are some pretty impressive collections at this point.

    Resident Evil Revelations 2
    Street Fighter 4-5

And all Megaman got is still Merchandise...

  6. How long's it been since the last time they made a NEW image of Mega Man to slap onto stuff?

  7. For all the people complaining about there not being any new Mega Man fan games,I suggest playing some Mega Man fan games. Many of them are very good and lots of fun.
