New Reward Tiers Added to TruForce's Mega Man X Kickstarter

Following up on the successful Kickstarter launch of their splendid Mega Man X figure, TruForce brings us a couple additional reward tiers. Check it out:

"We have some exciting news we feel many of you will be happy to hear. We've officially introduced two new reward tiers that focus exclusively on the figures themselves! We've received a bunch of feedback about this topic and we want to give you (the fans who have the power to make this project a reality) the rewards you really want.

You can now receive the exclusive color variant on its own or you can get both figures only if you prefer."

The normal X figure starts at the $80 tier, while the "Test Type" variant begins at $100+.  $180+ nabs you both (210+ previously). In other words, more bang for your buck. Head to the Kickstarter for more details.

  1. They didn't change the 230.00 having everything plus option parts so I'm good.

  2. So over all the $230 is still the best as it comes with the exclusive red effects, as the new $180 doesn't come with the red effects?

  3. Am I missing something.....$80 + $100 = $180. How is that more bang for your buck?

    1. Before the only ways to get both was the 210+

    2. Easy. You get two figures each at their regular price without any sort of additional markup for the t-shirt or the print. $80 is the cost of the standard X figurine, and 100$ is the stand alone cost of the special variant.

    3. As if the special variant costs an extra $20 to make.

I doubt it does, but heck, I'm not in the toy makin' business. =P

    4. It probably doesn't. But the fact that it's a special backer-only color variant gives it a greater perceived value as there is no way to get it other than backing the kickstarter . Seems fairly obvious.

  4. They say it's a Kickstarter exclusive but I bet later on it'll become available again....

    1. Or eBay of course. As of this writing, there will be 297 of them in the wild. By the time it's over, there will probably be more.

  5. So glad they did this. Upped my pledge to the solo variant figure.
