Here's The Latest Mighty No. 9 Gameplay Footage

New Mighty No. 9 gameplay is primed and ready for your consumption. Comcept has just released the above footage, featuring a nice look at Mighty No. 2 and Mighty No. 5's stages. We're still looking at the alpha build, but it gives a glimpse of various special moves and an insight into some of the perils you'll be facing along the way.

Check it out and see what you think.

  1. Oh wow, did you see the monitors in Mighty No 2's background that shows their battle in realtime from a different angle?

    1. I'm glad you pointed that out. Very neat.

  2. I'm so down for this but the whole dashing into enemies thing looks like it might get a little repetitive if you can and should do it for every single enemy you face.

  3. It's looking real good! That tune is sure catchy. One thing I noticed though is a different health meter. I honestly preferred the previous one. The way it would have depleted would have been much more unique than this one. Each of the triangular connected pieces would be removed depending on the damage. Both in each notch could go, or maybe a light hit would leave just one. This one seems more simple, but maybe there's a reason for it. A minor gripe. Can't wait to see more footage!

  4. Is it just me or does the music in this game sound really bland and generic, compared to MM games anyway.

    1. Yeah, I wasn't very impressed with that song, either. I thought the one from the other trailer was much better.

    2. I have no idea what you're talking about regarding the trailer, but Shinobi music does rock!

    3. Remember it's still a work in progress I bet they'll update the music. Still it's looking pretty good for an unfinished game.

...Whoa, I have no idea how that happened. This is what I meant to link to; the trailer that was shown back in March.

  6. Right off the bat the music reminded me of a certain MegaMan game due to it's style, at first I thought it was X7 but then I realized that it sounds A LOT like most of Command Mission's soundtrack. Not ready to say if that is a good or a bad thing though.

    1. It kinda does sound similar to CM instrumentals and such, but at the same time kinda trying to emulate the melodic style of the classic NES/F MM games. I don't think it worked out too well though.
