The Next Mega Man D-Arts Is...?

On Rockman Unity, Ucchy is continuing to tease the Christmas surprise. After spending a night playing with his D-Arts Zero toys, Ucchy fell asleep and awoke to find an ambiguous message in his stocking. It reads: "What if you regret making me a poseable figure..."

Ooh, chilling. What sort of Mega Man character would say such a thing?

After consulting my colleagues on Twitter, we've deduced Mega Man Zero series Zero is the next D-Arts figure from Bandai. The line in Ucchy's card, apparently, is a play on one of Zero's quotes, "What if you regret making me remember" (or something along those lines). I believe it's from one of the games' commercials.

More details are expected to bubble up soon. Are you ready for a fourth D-Arts Zero figure?

  4. Man, there are plenty of Zero figures, and already a very nice Kotobukiya Zero series Zero. Although the line could hint at a Sigma D-Arts, since it does mention poseable, as if referring to something otherwise (the Figuarts ZERO statue).

  5. To be honest, I've kind of had it with Zero figures. Just please. No more. Anything else that isn't X or Zero is welcomed since those two have had plenty of figures already. ^^;

  6. Sigh. Look, I hate to be ungrateful and I'll totally buy whatever it ends up being... but we already have a MMZ Zero figure. I'd much rather see something we don't have. Considering the line has slowed down a bit lately, I worry that releasing a figure that isn't super exciting may do more harm than good in creating more interest in the line. It reminds me of the S.H. Figuarts One Piece line where the character choices were a bit odd until the line eventually died. I wanted my Zoro figure, dang it!

  8. Im not shocked in the least. During that teaser where Ultimate Armor was reviled, the picture of Zero was what looked like blueprints for it.

  9. Another Zero figure?! .... I guess MMZ Zero did place high in the polls last time Bandai did them... Hopefully once this one is out of the way they can finally get onto some different figures like Protoman, Robot Masters, Mavericks, heck I wouldn't mind seeing X's guardians from the MMZ series done as D-Arts figures it would be nice to have a decent Harpuia, Phantom, Fefnir & Leviathan that aren't garage kits.

  10. I hope that the emphasis is on "Posable figure" Posable Sigma perhaps?

  11. Quote is wrong. Original line was "Why do you want to awaken me...?" and this line is "Why do you want to make me a poseable figure...?" No remembers, no regrets. The answer would be to sell it to fans who love buying the same thing over and over.

  12. OK! THATS IT! BOYCOTT BANDAI! Another Zero? WHY????? ENOUGH WITH ZERO!!!!! I'd rather have another Vile in X3 style! Why not that?! Which it would fit in with X and Zero ver2. THINK BANDAI! THINK! FOR GOD SAKES THINK!!!!!! NO MORE ZERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mavericks from the X1 would be PERFECT for the line!!!!!! But come on! Another Zero? No Bandai. No.

    1. I understand you.......we wait a game since mm10 (or X8/SF4 next gen games) and we have always some new BORING goodies....i become really bored by capcom and others things like that from Capcom.....
Damn, it's so hard to make a game for them?
Ok, i boycott the new toys who were released since 2010....i buy only the goodies who are from 90's-2005 around, no more.

because, old goodies have the real soul of the serie, when capcom was AMBITIOUS for megaman.

But those figures are just a joke for me. And i dont need, i prefer the jazwares figure (last version) of Bass, Zero and the others, some version are big and well made, like the one of MMX Command mission.
Mattel did well for EXE too.

But i wont never buy the goodies of 2011-2014.....except maybe if there is a new game...and more <_<

  13. Hey, Zero constantly being forced into the spotlight perfectly represents his role in the games too.

Seriously though, variety is the spice of life folks.

  15. Just start making Megaman 1-6 miniboss 2 packs. Would love to see Fireman and Cutman. I"m tapped out on the figures I want from the X series, aside from the Ride Armor, which will probably end up being a Figuruarts Zero

  16. I would love to have some Figuruarts zero robot masters. In scale with the d-arts of course. In packs of two or three each. So awesome.

  17. I would love to see Vile Mk. II, Colonel, Magma Dragoon. Hell, I wouldn't even mind Axl, Dynamo or Bit at this point. Just give us more characters, not the same characters over & over with different variations..

  18. Megaman Zero? Really? Isn't this the point where the Kotobukiya line dropped dead?

Don't let the internet confuse you, guys.

Zero fans may be among the most outspoken MM fans, but they're hardly the majority and make for a lousy core audience.when you're trying to turn a profit on something (especially if it costs $50+).

    1. I love when people blame the demise of the entire Company on a single 30$ worth figure.

    2. Oh, absolutely right. It's downright foolish to market Megaman products to Megaman fans in general.

I think you've had too much egg nog, my friend.

    5. I know you are but what am I? Well better than a sticks and stones comparison. Jezus this site's readers reading comprehension is comparable to that of a cat's.

Oh and have fun with the dead-zone of a comment section/fanbase, and continue blaming Capcom for all your problems. Good luck.

  21. Zero is cool and all, but should not D-Arts release other characters before another Zero for some variety? What about that Ride Armor?

I'd like to see Proto Man (with Tango), Roll (with Beat), Dr. Light (with Eddie), Dr. Wily (with Reggae), Axl, Alia, the X-Hunters, Dr. Doppler, and many others, from all Robot Masters and Mavericks to minor characters like Green Biker Dude. My wishlist is so small... ;P

  22. Is there a way to contact Bandai and tell them or suggest them NOT to make another Zero! I mean like, COME ON!
