Mega Man 6 Possibly Due to Hit 3DS eShop This Week

Nintendo has created a product page for Mega Man 6's Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console release. It's listed to launch on the eShop this Thursday, June 20th for $3.99 US. However, as noted on GoNintendo, there's been instances where games were incorrectly dated on the site, and would end up coming out a week or two later. Oops.

Pending official word from Nintendo (via press release), I suppose we'll just have to wait and see what Thursday will bring.

Thanks to Robdog511 for the tip!

    1. Same here man... Plus the Wii VC versions of 1-4 and eventually 5 are far superior to the U's VC version. Don't want Mega Man 6 to suffer that fate.

    2. Me too. I hope that Capcom is not stupid.

    3. Not having one, what's bad about the VC on the Wii U? The regular Wii VC was pretty mediocre emulation, and they didn't even preserve aspect ratio when playing in widescreen. I can't picture it being somehow worse.

    4. Believe me, I've done quality tests between the Wii U versions of 1-4 alongside the Wii versions. Recording the Wii versions with the non-existent aspect ratio and making the videos widescreen gives the the image a nice, sharp look when recorded in 720p...as for the Wii U's version, i found the audio from the recording lower than the Wii version, and the forced 4:3 aspect ratio hurts the video's image quality greatly when I stretch the video to fit Youtube's widescreen. So in all, what you say was mediocore, actually helps me with my future video plans as far as Classic and X is concerned. (assuming X3 makes it on there, too.)

    1. This. I just can't stress that enough.

Also, I have a question about the Wii U Virtual Console. Are the games on there compatible with a Wii Remote?
