Mega Man 1 Hits Wii U eShop in Europe This Week (Update: NA Too)


Official Nintendo Magazine Editor in Chief Chandra Nair has confirmed the original Mega Man will be released on the Wii U eShop Thursday, May 2nd for £3.49. As a Wii U Virtual Console game, Mega Man boasts off-TV play, save states, and a dedicated Miiverse community.

No word on North America. We'll keep an ear out. UPDATE: Confirmed!

  4. @Anon 1: All Virtual Console games must be re-worked to work on Wii U. You have to buy them again, but if you own them already you can get a discount.

    @Anon3: Then play on-tv.

  8. @April 29, 2013 at 6:27 PM Anon: if you did your research, you would know that if you had transferred your wii data over, which includes the shop channel purchase data, you only have to pay $1.00 for the Wii U version of NES games you own, and you only pay $1.50 for the Wii U version of SNES games you own already.

    Nintendo isn't scamming you at all. They just want to make up for the cost of giving a better version with customizable controls as well as a save state.
