Capcom/Sega/Bandai Namco 3DS Game Gets a Bit More EXciting

So, there's been this teaser site for an unknown game that looks to crossover characters from Capcom, Sega and Bandai Namco (with Banpresto designing it as a Nintendo 3DS game). Each week a new 'chromosome' is added to a company's respective 'petri dish', synonymous with that company's characters.

Last week, this was the general consensus:

And this week, someone very exciting has been added to Capcom's dish. Check out the lower right corner:

Speculation says the latest chromosome is none other than Mega Man X; a minimalist representation of the character's armor, skin and helmet emblem. I'd take this tidbit of interest with a grain of salt, but the prospect of X being involved in this crossover (alongside Zero) is certainly enticing. Guess we'll just have to wait and see how all this turns out!

Thanks for the tip, Ralene!

  1. It take's Banpresto, an outside company, to add X to a game. They know what to do, lol. Pretty exciting!

  2. ... *doesn't see Sonic in the image*

Sega you're letting me down bro.

Protodude I know it isn't exactly Megaman related, but could you let us know if any Sonic related chromosones are added/predicted? I'm sure many in the fanbase have been longing to see Sonic and Megaman team up... or fight against each other, and it would be awesome if it happens.

    1. Seriously, this. I've waited so long for the blue blur and the blue bomber to team up. This could be our only chance. Pac Man's a plus too.

  3. More excited about Black Rose and Toma, to be honest. X and Zero are just go-to-guys at this point - I'd be far more impressed if it was Model X, to be honest. Zx gets no representation in things like this.

Geez, now I wanna replay Shining Force EXA... to the PS2!

  4. I'll be keeping my expectations low for this one.

  5. @Role: ZX gets no representation because it barely sold anything compared to any other Megaman series game, much like Starforce barely sold. Capcom's not going to give reps to series that barely sold or were unpopular.

Besides I think Banpresto is taking the hint of fans during the MvC3 fiasco and going with Megaman X characters. Maybe Legends and Classic too if we're lucky.

  6. Zero, possibly X and KOS-MOS warrant a pre-order.
    My body wasn't ready.

  7. Aaaaw I hope SEGA is going to add a character from Phantasy Star, honestly. And Tear? ... TEAR REALLY?! Awesome,I love her!

  8. Yup. This game is going to be the sequel to the often-forgotten Playstation 2 cult classic, Namco x Capcom. I can just feel it, given that random assortment of characters. (Devilot and Black Rose, yay!)

  9. So we'll finally know whether Zero or Tear Grants would win in battle. Veeery interesting.

  10. Zero's being milked at this point...

Just like Role I'm more excited for Blackrose.

If this crossover really does have .hack characters I'll likely buy it. (Give me Kite and it's a day one buy)

I'll been a longer fan of that than any other Capcom, Sega, or Bandai video game series.

  12. @1stAnon

Sonic is not in the image because that's Capcom's petri dish. Each company has their own dish which their respective characters are added to.

  13. Vitrua Cop? Wow, Sega is really digging deep there.

  14. Holy crap, I would get this game just to have Sanger from Super Robot Wars wreak havoc on anything that moves. Awesome.

  15. @MegaMac: Sorry I meant to put Sonic in the Sega dish :/

Also has anyone noticed the chromosomes are moving more than before now?

  16. You know, if I didn't know that Ken chromosome represented Ken, I would have thought that it represented Elec Man. :P

  17. @Dr. Jerk

  18. return of the Vipers?

This is going to be interesting.

  19. Zero and KOS-MOS?! Yay!

I dunno what kinda genre this game will be, but it better be a crossover RPG or SRPG.

There are chances this game won't make it to the West, but I'm glad KOS-MOS is making a return to video games since the Super Robot Taisen: OG Saga games.

  22. Well this is kind of an interesting choice of a crossover game. Hopefully whatever it is sees a US release.

  23. @those wanting it to come to the US: WE MUST NOT WASTE TIME! BEGIN OPERATION CROSSFALL! PURPOSE: LOCALISE THIS GAME FOR THE WORLD!

  24. SEGA?! Okay, as much as I love megaman, screw all this news. I NEED to know if Kazuma Kiryu the dragon of Dojima is in this!
