Rockman 9 Mobile Coming To Japan

In a bit of interesting news, to say nothing of unexpected, Capcom are apparently releasing Rockman 9 on mobile phones in Japan.

CAP Kobun reports the game will be released for Docomo FOMA 903i and 703i phones, with a tentative December release date. No images or media of the game exist at this time, however previous classic series mobile phone ports should serve as a fairly good indication of what we can expect it to look like....playability, however, is another story.

Well, not much else to talk about right now. I'm a bit pretty surprised we didn't see a DSiWare version surface first, actually. Oh well..

More news on the subject as it comes in!

  6. Save it for 3DS. Better yet, make a new Megaman 11 for 3DS in 16bit or megaman legends 3 style. :)

Yeah, because saying things like that is totally going to prevent it, right?

As for the subject at hand, I already own the WiiWare version, so I'll pass. And besides, from what I hear, the controls are usually pretty terrible in cell phone games.

  8. They better have a version that's shrunken down port of it like with at least the first three games.

  9. God damn it! I agree with Anon3. Forget the freaking phones! Port that crap to something everyone can enjoy! Like...freakin' Steam!! I mean, Bionic Commando: Re-Armed in on Steam! Why not Rockman 9/10?! I'd happily pay for it if I could play it on my computer (without an emulator)!
